Is a branch change to CSE possible at NIT Manipur? If yes, what is the process?
Yes, like most other IITs and NITs it is possible to change your branch at NIT Manipur. My brother joined civil engineering at the institute but changed to CSE in the 2nd year, so I can tell you the exact process.
- First, your CGPA after 1st year must be among the top two in your branch.
- You should also not have any active backlog in the first year.
- If there is a clash between the CGPA then the JEE MAIN ranks of the students are taken for the tiebreaker.
NIT Manipur offers the branch change option only to two students at the maximum.
Which one is better for CSE, NIT PATNA, IIIT Kalyani & IIIT Lucknow considering the last year placements of 40 lpa at Patna?
Someone else's package doesn't guarantee that you'll also bag the same package. Out of mentioned options, NIT Patna is a better option not because of the 40 lakh package. The placement package had been offered by Adobe which is said to recruit 2 ladies each offering 20 lakh packages to each. But in 2018, Adobe hired a female student offering her 40 LPA package, which can be true or even wrong information. However, you should not take admission in NIT Patna just because someone bagged a 40 Lakh package. The package will depend on your dedication during the course. It will help you easily earning a 6-8 LPA package.

While there is no doubt that NIT Patna is an old institution, yet it lacks some of the basic facilities such as hostels and open spaces. The campus is quite small as compared to other engineering colleges. So, it does not feel like a proper campus to some students as they have to spend 4 years there.
In the present time, a mega hostel is being constructed but it is outside the campus. The locality surrounding the campus is very unpleasant.The good thing is that the campus is located beside Ganga, having some modern and beautiful ghats. The management and staff are strict and less creative.

- The highest package was of 42 Lacs, the lowest is 3.7 Lacs by a service-based company and the average salary is around 6-7 Lacs for CSE.
Infrastructure:Basic facilities like libraries, hostel, Gyms, sports centers, and Labs are available to provide. Libraries have many quality books for the student to study.
Exposure:JIIThas agood environment as students and teachers take programming very seriously making a good circle and environment to develop an interest in programming.
Which is better, IIT Hyderabad for EE or IIT Bhubaneswar for CS?
If you plan to change to CS, it is quite difficult to shift from EE to CS at IIT Hyderabad. It is easier for other branches to change to CS.
Mechanical and Chemical students get CS during branch change, but the chances are less for Electrical students. This is the experience of one of my friends at IIT Hyderabad.
CS at IIT Hyderabad is better than CS at other new IITs. IIT Hyderabad is one of the best among the new IITs. IIT Hyderabad is showing tremendous growth.

Presidency University has been ranked 76 among the top universities in India by The Week. Acharya University Bangalore provides an excellent academic ambiance to the students and has been accredited by NAAC.

- Presidency University offers a BTech program for CSE.The admission is through JEE Mains and the course fee is around 2.1 lakhs for the first year.
- Acharya University offers a BE program for CSE and the accepted entrance examination for admission is KCET. The course fee is 3.01 lakhs for the first year.

Among these, ITM University Gwalior will a better choice for CSE. The faculties are friendly. The departmental labs are well-equipped with the latest technologies. The department has a lab dedicated to coding and programming. Interested students can take additional courses for programming. ITM Gwalior placements are good for CSE. The average CTC for the branch is around INR 4-6 LPA. While the highest CTC goes up to INR 25 LPA. Wipro, Infosys, TCS, etc. are among the major companies to recruit from the campus.
