Admission to DTU primarily depends on your AIR (All India Rank) in the JEE Mains exam conducted by CBSE across India. The ranks are determined solely by your performance in the JEE Mains; your +2 marks do not factor into your AIR. This policy has been in effect since 2017, when the previous system of considering 40% of +2 marks for calculating the AIR was discontinued. Therefore, achieving a good AIR is essential for securing admission in DTU.

After completing my BBA at DTU, I found that the in-hand salary for fresh graduates is usually around 6 LPA, which is decent for a starting role. The placement statistics show that about 30-35% of students get placed through the college’s placement cell. If you're aiming for top companies like PWC or Deloitte, you might be able to negotiate a better salary, but most of my friends are seeing figures ranging from 3 to 6 LPA.

• Aap date extend karne ke liye application de sakte ho, lekin vo sirf 30 din ke liye hota hai.
• Aapko fee pay karni hoti hai irrespective of your caste.
• Phir aap scholarship ke liye apply kar sakte ho, agar mil gaya toh thoda relief mil sakta hai, lekin scholarship par poora depend mat raho kyunki yeh full amount nahi de sakta.
• Admission le lo aur loan ke liye apply kar lo orientation ya college shuru hone se pehle, yeh aapke liye beneficial hoga.

Main bhi DTU CSE student hoon (yeh information 2024 fees ke according hai, agle saal naye students ke liye fees badh sakti hai).

I'm currently pursuing B.Tech in Engineering Physics at DTU, and I can say it's an exciting journey! The curriculum blends core physics with electronics, which is super relevant. If you missed out on getting into electronics, this branch is a great alternative since 75% of the syllabus overlaps. Faculty members are top-notch, especially in their specialized fields.

For placements in 2025/26, the placement scene is really impressive. Last year, over 85% of students got placed, with companies like Google and Microsoft visiting the campus. The average package was around 16L, with the highest hitting a whopping 1.7 crore! Definitely looking forward to my own placements.

Hostels at DTU are definitely better than those at NITs.

• The mess food is enjoyable in the first year! If you're lucky enough to get into the seniors' hostel (HJB Hostel), you're in for a treat.
• However, be prepared for the same boring pre-defined menu later on, which will make you think about when to eat out for dinner.
• If you manage to have a girlfriend, you'll probably skip hostel lunch!
• Wednesdays are the best! Your day scholar friends will join you for the chow mein buffet—definitely the highlight of lunch.

Overall, you'll have a great time staying there!

At DTU, for B.Tech in Civil Engineering, the fees start at about 2,19,000 for the first year. It's a bit of a hike every year, with an increase of 10,000. But honestly, with the good placements and internship options available, it feels worth it!

• Location: DTU is situated in Delhi, a tier 1 city, providing access to a vibrant environment, cultural activities, and numerous opportunities across various industries. While top NITs are located in tier 2 cities, Delhi is a much better option for many.
• Placements: DTU has a slight advantage in CS-related placements compared to any NITs. In 2020, the average package for CS-related branches was between 18–20 lakhs, with a placement percentage of 93–94%. The top 3 NITs had similar average packages of around 18–20 lakhs, but the context matters.
