How tough is it to get into Doon Business School for a BBA? What are some of the questions asked in the interview?

TA
Tithi Aggrawal Posted On : June 3rd, 2023
Lives in New Delhi

It’s not very difficult to get admission into Doon Business School for BBA. It takes admission through a written aptitude test or WAT. WAT examination tests your quantitative and analytical skills and checks whether you’ll be able to cope with the subjects of the course you’re getting yourself into or not. WAT is an easy-to-moderate test and it’s only part of the selection process. Your past academic records, resume, and personal interview play a very important role in the selection process. You might get a short case study to analyze in your interview. The case would loosely be based on an office incident, a company or a person. Just remember to ask important questions and lay down your assumptions in front of them. Don’t hesitate to ask questions since the panel is judging you on the basis of your approach.

Which institute will be better for BBA -Symbiosis Pune or Narsee Monjee Bangalore?

PP
Pratik Parikh Posted On : May 4th, 2023
Lives in Bangalore

If you are considering pursuing a Bachelor's in Business Administration (BBA), it's important to choose the right college. While Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) and Symbiosis are both well-known institutions, there are some differences between them that you should consider.

Here are some factors to keep in mind:

  • Reputation: Symbiosis Pune is known for its strong BBA program and has consistently ranked among the top BBA colleges in India. While NMIMS Mumbai is also a reputable institution, the Bangalore campus may not be as well-known.
  • Curriculum: The curriculum of the BBA program at Symbiosis Pune is designed to provide students with a broad understanding of business management and administration. The program includes courses in accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, and other areas. NMIMS Bangalore also offers a similar curriculum, but the Mumbai campus is known for its specialization in finance.
  • Faculty: Both Symbiosis Pune and NMIMS Bangalore have experienced faculty members who bring industry experience to the classroom. However, Symbiosis has a larger faculty and a more diverse set of professors with different areas of expertise.
  • Location: Symbiosis Pune is located in a cosmopolitan city with a thriving business community, which provides ample opportunities for internships and practical exposure. NMIMS Bangalore, on the other hand, is situated in a relatively quieter part of the city, with fewer opportunities for internships and industry exposure.
  • Campus facilities: Both colleges have modern infrastructure and offer excellent facilities such as libraries, computer labs, sports facilities, and student activity centers.

While both Symbiosis Pune and NMIMS Bangalore offer excellent BBA programs, Symbiosis Pune may be a better choice for students looking for a well-established institution with a strong reputation and diverse faculty. However, if you are interested in specializing in finance, NMIMS Mumbai may be a better option. Ultimately, your choice should be based on your personal preferences, career aspirations, and other factors that matter to you.
