IILM Lodhi Road is the better choice. The small batch size, well-designed curriculum, and good placements are some of the reasons why you should choose the institute.
- IILM Lodhi Road has a compact batch size. Due to this each student get the required attention and guidance from the faculty through the mentoring program.
- The curriculum followed by the institute is updated and market-driven. IILM Lodhi Road curriculum is inspired by the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Wharton Business School, and IIM Ahmedabad.
- The campus has a centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. If you have a good idea for a start-up, you will get resources and support from the centre.
- The institute has a good placement record. IILM Lodhi Road average package is around INR 6-7 LPA.
NDIM has a huge student intake. Due to the large batch size, students don’t get the required attention from the faculties. The batch size also creates problems for placements.

Having talked to people at NIT Raipur and HBTU Kanpur, I have gathered reasons why students should opt for NIT Raipur instead of HBTU Kanpur for B.Tech.

- There is a more competitive environment in NIT if compared to HTBU.

NIT Kurukshetra ranks 43rd among the top engineering colleges in India by NIRF 2019. The institute is one of the best, having many good experienced faculties for civil engineering. The placement statistics have gone beyond 95% since 2015.

UIET Chandigarh:-
- The admission is based on the valid score of 75% marks in 10+2 with JEE Main.
- The course fee is INR 3.25 LPA.
- The seats for CSE in UIET Chandigarh are 122.
- The cutoff required in JEE Main is in the range of 945-224246.
Placements:
Almost 80% of the students got placed in 2019 with the highest package offered is INR 30 LPA by Microsoft. The placements in both these colleges are good and many of the companies offer handsome packages to the students every year. CSE receives the highest amount of placement of 100%.

It’s difficult to determine which institute is better as the courses are not mentioned for the given college. However, given below are information about the colleges which may help you make the decision.
Ranking:
- Nirma University: The college was ranked among the top 100 institutions in the country by NIRF in the academic year 2018.
- Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya: The college was ranked as 251 in top B. tech college in India by NIRF in the year 2019.
Admissions:
- Nirma University: For admissions, the criteria for every course is different. But mostly the college accepts common exams like JEE Mains, CLAT, GATE, CAT and MAT.
- Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya: For a student to be eligible for a course they need at least secure 45% of marks in 10+2 exams (science stream) with any recognized board. The college accepts GUCET marks for the B.Tech program.
Faculty:
- Nirma University: As being one of the oldest colleges in the state, the faculty of the college is well experienced and well versed with the subjects that they teach.
- Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya: There are Ph.D. teachers who give lectures on various subjects. There are guest lecturers that are called to provide in-depth knowledge to the students.
Placements:
- Nirma University: The highest CTC that was offered was Rs 16.6 LPA and the average CTC that was recorded was 8.2 LPA. The top recruiting companies that visited the college were: - Infosys, Tata Motors, Amul, Amazon, Bajaj Alliance, Larsen and Toubro, Daiken, and Bajaj Auto.
- Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya: For the year 2020 the highest package that was given to the student was INR 12 LPA. The lowest package that was offered was INR 1.8 LPA. The top companies that come to the college include; Razorpay, BYjus, L&T Power, L&T Constructions, Reliance, Wipro, SHV energy, TATA, and many more.
Therefore, if a choice has to be made, one can look at the different parameters mentioned above.
Which is better for CS, AIACTR, MAIT, or MSIT?
A few of my friends graduated from AIACTR, MAIT, and MSIT. Here are some facts about these colleges, which might help you make a proper choice.
AIACTR –
- Being a government college AIACTR lags in placements because fewer efforts are made by the Training and Placement Officer.
- After a semester, you will also realize that the results of internals and practicals sent by the faculty of AIACTR are fewer marks as compared to MAIT and MSIT.
MAIT and MSIT –
- While coming to a comparison between MAIT and MSIT there are a lot of factors like distance from your home and others.
- In MAIT, there are no attendance issues while at MSIT the attendance issues are a little strict. You have to maintain at least 60% attendance at MSIT.
- Academic wise MSIT is far ahead of MAIT.
- MSIT has a better placement record with an average salary of around INR 13 LPA while at MAIT it is INR 7 LPA.

MSIT is a good option if the infrastructure and strict attendance are not your major concern. If so you can easily opt for MSIT over the other two. However, make the wise decision considering other factors too.
How is BIT Jaipur compared to Nirma University and UIET Chandigarh?
It’s difficult to determine which institute is better as the courses are not mentioned for the given college. However, given below are information about the colleges which may help you make the decision.
Admissions:
- BIT Jaipur: If a student wants to take admission to the college they need to secure at least 45% in class 10+2 exams with PCM. For the B.E program the admissions are by Joint Seat Allotment Authority (JOSAA).
- Nirma University: The criteria for every course is different. But mostly the university accepts common exams like JEE Mains, CLAT, GATE, CAT, and MAT. Apart from that the college also does take admissions through merits.
- UIET Chandigarh: The admissions of the course B.E and M.E is done on the basis of entrance exams. However, the minimum criteria for an applicant to apply for admissions is to pass class 10+2 exams with at least 45% of marks in PCM.
Faculty:
- BIT Jaipur: Most of the faculty are Ph.D. while others are pursuing. The classes are never boring because of the interactive sessions held by the faculty.
- Nirma University: As being one of the oldest colleges in the state, the faculty of the college is well experienced and well versed with the subjects that they teach.
- UIET Chandigarh: There are a total of 8 core members in the college out of which three of them are Ph.D. holders.
Placement:
- BIT Jaipur: There were a total of 23 companies present. The highest package that was offered was INR 23 LPA while the average package was INR 6.47 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Cognizant, Infosys, Wipro, Info Objects, and Reliance Jio.
- Nirma University: The university had a placement percentage of 95. The highest CTC that was offered was Rs 16.6 LPA and the average CTC that was recorded was 8.2 LPA. The top recruiting sector was ITES.
- UIET Chandigarh: The top recruiters that visit the college include; Goldman sacs, Amazon, Samsung, Airtel, and Deloitte. The median percentage placed every year is around 80%.
Therefore, if a choice has to be made by the student, he/she can look at the above parameters mentioned.
Which is better, MSIT ECE or MAIT for EEE?
Between MSIT ECE and MAIT EEE, the former is the better alternative. As a branch ECE has better future prospects than EEE. You have to work hard to secure a decent placement opportunity in the field of EEE.

- Both MSIT and MAIT are reputed IPU colleges that offer quality education in the field of Engineering. There is also not much difference between the two institutes. So, it will be better to prioritize the batch.
- Although in MAIT you will have the chance to upgrade your branch to ECE, CSE, or IT from EEE.
I will suggest you to choose MSIT ECE.
Which is better for engineering, Amrita University or SRM?
For CSE, the Amritapuri campus of Amrita University will be better. Here are some of the reasons why you should choose Amrita University.
Academics:
Amrita is one of the best institutes in India, for CSE. The faculties are well-experienced. You will have plenty of research opportunities. The computer labs are well-equipped with all the necessary software.
Extra-curricular:
Apart from academics, you will have many opportunities to show your talent through various international competitions under the guidance of experienced mentors.
- FOSS club was among the top clubs to secure maximum numbers of GSoC selection in 2016. Students from this club also got selected for GSoC in their first year. This club follows a method of code, share, and grow. Where juniors-seniors work collaboratively and help each other. Students from this club are mentoring students in international competitions like SHE++, Learn IT girl, Google Code Inc, etc. Many students have got the opportunity to work and study in Foreign Universities like CERN, EIT, Tel-Aviv, and many more.
- If you are interested in cybersecurity, you can join the Cyber Security club at the institute. There you can participate in international competitions like CTF’s. The BiOs team in Amrita is one of the best in the world.
- If you are more into logical problem solving, then the ICPC club is the right place for you. Students of the institute reached the world finals for ACM ICPC.
Placements:
Amrita has a good placement record. The major recruiters at the institute are SAP Labs, CISCO, Google, etc. The recent placement highlights for the institute are as follows.

It’s true that the institute is quite strict regarding the rules and regulations. But Amrita University is definitely a great choice for a CSE degree in terms of academics, exposure, placement, etc.
Which college will polish my communication skills better, CGC Landran or Thapar?
Colleges like CGC Landran and Thapar are the best and most reputed colleges in the country. Although, if comparing between both of them, according to my friends at CGC Landran, they have more opportunities and exposure. You could get and utilize it to improve your communication skills.
- CGC Landran and the best academics conduct various competitions and events regularly so that a student can build up his/her personality and communication skills.
- The literary events such as group discussions, debate competitions, guest lecturers, talent hunts, and many other events are held regularly.
- Thapar University provides the best academics as the faculty in the institute is quite good but they don’t focus on communication skills.
Hence, for improving communication skills and overall personality development, a student should prefer CGC Landran over Thapar University.
