Can we leave IPM (IIM Indore) program after first 3 years?
One of my cousins is a student of IIM Indore. Let me share his experience which might give you a basic idea.
He says that you can definitely leave the IPM program after the initial 3 years, but it will not reap benefits at the end of the day. Your choice can allegedly become futile.
You can undeniably leave following the initial 3 years of the IPM program, but because it is an integrated 5-year course, you are not supposed to receive any sort of certification or testimonial after the completion of the first 3 years of your study program.
You will significantly have to leave with an IGNOU degree and 3 years of IPM education that is not vitally certified or even recognized. Leaving a course midway will definitely not be helpful, since the only accessible certification you will go on to receive is from IGNOU. It can possibly be extremely difficult to further acquire admission in any other renowned B-school following your dropout. Thus, leaving mid-course is not highly recommended.

- Read more books on laws, current amendments, fundamental rights, duties, and principles.
- Also, make sure that while answering the questions you use proper concepts and theories.
This exam needs patience and hard work. Make a proper chart for your preparation since you have less time.
Thapar University(Patiala): What is so special about Hostel-J that makes it one of the top hostel complexes in India?
Hostel J at Thapar University is amazing. It offers all the necessary facilities. It is well equipped, and surrounded by greenery. Its mess offers better food than all the other hostels. Even the night mess offers good food. The rooms of Hostel J are airy and large in size. Infrastructure-wise, everyone at Thapar finds the Hostel J building quite attractive. Plus, it offers a good gym facility.
These are some reasons why Hostel J is one of the top hostel complexes of Thapar University, and probably even India.
Has IIIT Hyderabad CSE grown beyond IIT Madras and IIT Kharagpur?
When it comes to comparing institutions, rankings and comparisons can be found in various sources, but it's important to be unbiased in your analysis. While I cannot provide a clear answer on which institution is better, I can share my beliefs based on my experiences.
If you're considering IIIT-H, you should know that they offer courses in Computer Science and Electronics only, with Computer Science being their forte. Here's what makes IIIT-H's CS education stand out:
- Refined Curriculum: IIIT-H focuses on CS fundamentals from the very first year, and the base courses are stressed more than the others. This helps students establish a strong foundation, which allows them to focus on advanced topics in later years.
- Culture: IIIT-H has a culture of producing great programmers year after year. For instance, a team from IIIT-H qualifies for the ACM ICPC World Finals almost every year. When these programmers are your teaching assistants, lab tutors, or neighbors (IIIT is a small community with around 200 students per year), their success and mindset rub off on you, and you learn how to study and succeed. This is a unique attribute of IIIT-H that sets it apart from other institutions.
In terms of placements, IIIT-H, and IITs are more or less similar. In fact, CS graduates from IITs are also poached by banks and consulting firms due to their strong mathematics and quantitative analysis backgrounds. Faculty members are equally good at both places.
Unlike IIIT-H, IITs offer specializations in various engineering fields, such as Civil and Mechanical engineering. While these fields may be less appealing currently due to their reduced demand in the job market, they are still essential components of the engineering industry. Therefore, it's unfair to say that IIIT-H has grown beyond any IIT in its entirety. But as far as Computer Science is concerned, IIIT-H has carved out its own niche and excels in this field.
Which is better, SCB or AIIMS Bhubaneswar?
If you are considering pursuing a medical degree in Orissa, you may be weighing your options between AIIMS and SCB Medical College. Here are some key points to keep in mind as you make your decision:

How is ECE branch at the NIT Durgapur?
As a final-year ECE student at NIT Durgapur, I will share my observations about this department with you.
NIT Durgapur offers no research facilities as such. So if you enter the ECE department expecting research-based innovative studies, you’ll be disappointed. You’ll score a good CGPA. You will get the opportunity to intern at CERN, through a good CGPA. Other than that, the curriculum doesn’t really offer much growth. Most people aren’t that driven or hardworking over here.
Since 2017, however, changes in curriculum and faculty have opened doors for improvement. The infrastructure and lab facilities of this college need a lot of improvement. Phd. scholars should be selected more carefully for teaching the students.
I recommend you try Jadavpur ECE. You can also search for some other option that is better than NIT Durgapur ECE.
What is the difference between M.Tech (CSE) and M.Tech (AI) at IISc Bangalore?
There are many points of difference between IISc MTech CSE and MTech AI. Some of them have been listed below
- M.Tech CSE is the flagship M.Tech program from CSA whereas the M.Tech AI program is a new program that has been recently introduced by the EECS division.
- There is a huge difference in the curriculum of both programs. Although both programs require 64 credits, the breakdown is different. For MTech CSE the department core requires a minimum of 24 credits comprising at least 8 credits each from Pool A, Pool B, and Pool C There is a project too. The remaining credits are for electives. The M.Tech AI course on the other hand has 19 credits from pool A subjects, 12 credits from pool B subjects, and 12 credits from electives. Additionally, there is a 21-credit project where one can work on interdisciplinary cutting-edge problems on AI.
- M.Tech CSE admissions are done on the basis of GATE CS scores while the cut-off for M.Tech AI is decided by the applications from CS, EE, and ECE disciplines.
It's natural for a CSE B.Tech student who isn't certain of specializing in theory, systems, or AI, to go for an M.Tech (CSE). The curriculum is flexible and you can even choose electives or work on AI projects. But if you are certain o your inclination towards AI then M.Tech (AI) is an excellent choice.
Do a PG student get a hostel room in IIT Delhi campus?
IIT Delhi has stopped providing on-campus hostel facilities to PG MTech students specially bound mainly due to the shortage of Hostel rooms inside the campus. Earlier they used to provide off-campus hostels that were in pathetic conditions. But starting from 2020, they have even stopped providing these off-campus hostels and students are expected to arrange for their accommodation.
The students have to go to the hostel inside the campus for mess food and have to roam around without any permanent on-campus residence. Moreover, so much distance between their off campus residence and the college wastes a lot of time and they can hardly spare time for doing additional things like studying for an entrance exam.
New hostels are being built to accommodate MTech students and hopefully, in the coming future you might see better hostel facilities for PG students.
How is DTU for ECE?
The ECE branch at DTU is very competent. It has a pool of talented, intelligent, and hardworking students. The reason being that the cutoffs for ECE usually are high. DTU ECE students get placed every year in MNCs like Qualcomm, SanDisk, TI, Samsung, and other such reputed firms that hire electronics engineers. A good percentage of the students also pursue an MS from renowned universities across the globe. Students also prepare for competitive exams like CAT, GATE, UPSE CSE, and even succeed in them.
The faculty here is very knowledgeable and teaches lucidly. They are also very lenient in their evaluation.
The curriculum is entirely focused on hardware, communication, computer architecture, advanced integrated circuits, signals and systems, superior probability, networking, and control systems. This is just a broad classification, the actual curriculum is vast, and students can find a lot of interesting sub-fields in electronics. The only drawback of the curriculum is that it does not offer any CSE electives. Assignments are scarce and can be efficiently dealt with as the solutions are readily available from various sources.
The workload is at the bare minimum level. The exams require just a couple of weeks of diligent studying. For the rest of the semester, one is free to explore his/her skills, hobbies, and interests.
75% and above GPA is straightforward to achieve and maintain. Pushing a bit more during the exam period can fetch even 80% and above. This all makes the college life here very exciting and rewarding. To sum up, ECE at DTU is a good option that can be exercised if one compares among the top NITs.
What is the placement scenario in KJ Somaiya or DJ Sanghvi?
The placement in D.J. Sanghvi is decent with salary packages ranging from 3-12 Lakhs per annum. The points below give a brief overview of the run-through of the entire placement scenario in D.J. Sanghvi.
- The placement session usually starts from the beginning of the 4th year. The first company visiting the campus is mostly Morgan Stanley, providing the highest salary package (14-16 LPA).
- The entire placement sessions go on for a year, with an overall of about 35-40 companies, and a salary range of about 3-12 LPA offered to students.
- J.P Morgan performs a 24-hour hackathons “Code for Good” and recruits students from it.
- Some other names of MNCs visiting the campus just after Morgan Stanley include Directi, ZS associates, Indus Valley, etc. Several companies like EnY, LTI, Deloitte, Dollar Capital, etc provides appreciable salary packages.
- Almost every student from Computer science and IT gets at least one job offer in placement. Mass recruiters like TCS and Infosys visit the campus, recruiting a bunch of students.
- You will get several opportunities in placement, with different roles in companies. Seniors provide a lot of help for preparation and useful placement tips.
Overall, the placements can be considered to be really good in D.J. Sanghvi and so, taking up a job with a decent salary before a Masters's degree is quite satisfying.
