VIT Pune is quite good in terms of placement for CSE. Most of the companies that visit the placement drive are from CS/IT sector. Most students from the CSE branch get placed. VIT Pune CSE average package is 4 LPA. In last year’s placement drive the highest CTC offered was 9 LPA. If you have a decent academic record and the required skills you can definitely bag a job with a good salary.
I have friends both in SGGS and VIT Pune so I can give you a detailed comparative analysis of both institutes based on some common aspects
Although SGGS is better in most aspects, VIT Pune steals the limelight because of its amazing placement scenario. So choose wisely!
yeah they're different colleges! both run by same trust (BRACT) but separate campuses.
VIT is clearly better for placements. one thing nobody explains properly — some companies at placement drives don't allow VIIT students to sit, only VIT ones. so the shared placements aren't really equal in practice.
also heads up — VIT Pune has nothing to do with VIT Vellore. completely different institutions. VIT Vellore is a deemed university in Tamil Nadu. VIT Pune is in Maharashtra under Pune University. a lot of people Google VIT placements and accidentally read Vellore data thinking it's Pune — don't make that mistake when researching!
Among these institutes, VIT Pune is better for CS. Academics, infrastructure, exposure, placements, internships, etc. are better at VIT.
Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, Infosys, TCS, Accenture, Nvidia, Tata Power, Atlas Copco, etc. are some of the major recruiters that frequently visit the campus placements. In the last semester, there is a compulsory 6-month internship module at VIT. This helps a lot with placements. According to trends of the last few years, VIT Pune CSE average package is INR 6.34 LPA. During 2021 placements, the highest CTC offered was INR 33.75 LPA.
My friend at VIT Pune shared his first-day experience at the college. He faced a huge cultural shock as he hails from Delhi and was suddenly in a completely different environment. He received a warm welcome from his batchmates. He seemed out of place as most of his batchmates tale din Marathi. He asked them about the syllabus that had already been covered. In the second lecture, he was told that a class test was scheduled for the day after. Luckily, the professor postponed the test when my friend informed him that he was a new student.
The most tortuous lecture was the Japanese lecture. He struggled a lot in that particular class. Overall, it was a challenging yet rewarding experience at VIT Pune.
My friend is currently in his final year of CSE in VIT and is also working at IBM, Pune for my semester-long internship. VIT and VIIT have a common Training and Placement Officer who oversees the placements of both colleges. In my opinion, VIT CSE is way better than EnTC in terms of placements. My friends in EnTc who score better than my friend in VIIT CSE are still struggling for decent jobs. VIIT CSE students get offers from companies that visit the campus almost every week. Although VIT allows EnTC students to appear for software jobs, most software companies prefer taking CSE students mainly because they have studied the relevant subjects for 4 years.
Moreover, VIT is autonomous. I would recommend you choose CSE even if the colleges are similar because the CSE curriculum and syllabus will guarantee your entry into the Software or IT industry. Another added advantage is that VIT has a system of compulsory semester-long internships in either of the semesters of the 4th year. Students receive internship offers from big companies that likely get converted into placement offers for CSE. This may not be the case for any other college in the entire Pune.
My friends in EnTC are now struggling to pursue higher studies or jobs in the Software industry. So go for VIT without any second thoughts.
I won’t suggest you opt for the AI and DS branch at VIT Pune at any cost. The professors of this branch lack industrial knowledge and practicality. The placement scenario is pathetic. It’s a decent option if all you want is a degree
VIT Pune CSE branch on the other hand offers excellent job opportunities with a very promising placement scenario. So, don’t choose the Artificial Intelligence and Data Science branch at VIT Pune.
PICT Pune wins this one clearly.
PICT (Pune Institute of Computer Technology) is one of Pune's most respected CS colleges, and if you're looking at CS/IT specifically, it's better than VIT Pune (Vishwakarma Institute of Technology) on almost every metric:
the only reason to consider VIT Pune over PICT is if you couldn't get CSE at PICT. VIT Pune is a decent fallback for CS in Pune. But if the choice is between these two for the same branch — PICT every time.

As an alumnus of KJSCE, I can only tell you about my college. I do not know anything regarding VIT Pune.
Here is all you can expect from KJSCE-
KJSCE is a decent college for your engineering studies. In the end, your hard work and dedication matters the most.
