Life as an M.Tech student at JNTUH is quite satisfactory. We usually have 3 classes a day of 90 minutes each, for 2 semesters. We get the other 12 months for our project work. The classes are held for 5 days a week and 75% attendance is compulsory. Lab hours vary according to the respective department.
Most of the teachers are friendly, supportive, and highly qualified. The students mostly get placed in the 2nd semester itself with a package of at least 4 LPA.
The JNTUH infrastructure is well-maintained. The library has all the important books. The campus is green and the hostels are well-maintained especially the newly built ones. The sports infrastructure is also good. You can play Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Football and Cricket. There is a floodlight facility as well. Almost every evening, students can be spotted playing football on campus.
Thus, the M.Tech life at JNTUH is quite good and you won’t regret taking admission over here.
NIT Hamirpur has been ranked at 47 for Engineering by Outlook 2019 and is popularly known for its BTech and MTech programs. It is recognized as an institute of national importance and is ranked at 98 across NIT’s in India.

While there are other institutions that offer comparatively better programs in Civil Engineering, NIT Hamirpur is surely one of the top in terms of curriculum and specialization options, which are offered in very few universities across the country.
Students can make an informed choice after doing their research and going through the points mentioned above.
NIT Hamirpur B.Tech Civil Engineering department lacks a research environment and proper lab facilities for both UG and PG programs. As far as academics are concerned, the department is ahead of many NITs. However, the infrastructure and teaching methodology are not in line with new-age requirements. Even the placement scenario for M.Tech Civil at NIT Hamirpur isn't good.
In comparison to other branches, the Department of Environmental Engineering and Energy Resources has better research facilities. For an M.Tech in Civil Engineering, I would like you to try these institutions - IIT Roorkee, BITS, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, NIT Allahabad, and NIT Delhi.
NIT Hamirpur isn’t the best choice for an M.Tech Civil program.
In my opinion, IIT Guwahati is a better option than NITK Surathkal. Here is why:
All in all, IIT Guwahati is better than NIT Surathkal in many aspects.
ECE department of IIT Roorkee has three branches namely
Here is a general scope of all three branches combined.

For those looking for core placements, your specialization as well as your CGPA matters a lot. A decent CGPA can even fetch you packages in IT
M tech VLSI- Qualcomm 16LPA, Nvidia 15 LPA
PSUs:
The RFM branch has a wide scope covering it all, research placements and even PSUs.
IIT BHU is one of the best engineering colleges in our country. So its placements are certainly good. The placements are slightly better for B.Techs, but even M.Techs receive ample opportunities. The placements are above 90% for CS, IT,EXTC, and core specializations.
If you get a chance to become a part of IIT BHU, you should definitely consider joining. However, for that, you’ll need a good GATE score. Apart from the placements, its academics will polish your knowledge and learning.
Honestly speaking, a part-time M.Tech course is not of much worth. A course like M.Tech requires a practical approach. This won't be much possible at Anna University. So all you will be left behind is a title attached to your name. This course is also a waste of time and money as the fees of this course are quite high.
This course won't yield you any valuable results unless you are extremely passionate and a self-learner.
The placements for M.Tech in IIT Bhubaneswar for the year of 2019 witnessed around 68% of placement whereas the overall placement rate at IIT Bhubaneswar in 2019 was around 90%. Fifty-two companies visited the campus, with significant companies being Adobe, Accenture, Infosys, HCL, ISRO, IOCL, etc. IIT Bhubaneswar 2019 also reported that the highest number of placements were from the core industries, which is 53%, followed by the IT department of 19%.
The average salary offered was 11.15 LPA, with the highest domestic CTC offered was 39 LPA. There are also internships offered to the 3rd year students from the core industries.
In 2020, there was a 65% placement rate recorded for MTech students before the nation-wide lockdown.
The MTech ESD is a newly launched program at IIIT Bangalore. Here are a few pros and cons that might help you understand the credibility of the program

So choose wisely after weighing the pros and cons of the stream.
The two deciding factors in this case are the studies and placements. IIT Dhanbad offers M.Tech ECE in VLSI, RF and Microwave Engineering, Communications, and Photonics. RF and Microwave Engineering is a good but difficult option.
The faculty for VLSI and Communications is good. However, the Photonics faculty is not good at all. 2-3 subjects and labs are common for all ECE students. However, the curriculum for RF and Microwave is entirely different from the other three.
The placement scenario for ECE isn’t good. Very few students are placed from the department, that too in non-core jobs. Those who are well-versed in programming get easily placed in IT firms.
Core companies like Texas, Intel, Amdocs, etc. visit the campus for recruitment. However, they recruit very few students (sometimes none) from the department. Some students do secure internships at firms like Intel. But for final placements, they have to undergo screening once again. The placements are nil in RF. But some universities visit the campus seeking Assistant Professors. They offer good starting packages.
If you get VLSI at NIT Surathkal/Trichy/Warangal, choose that over IIT Dhanbad. The placement for VLSI is very good at these colleges. As for IIT Dhanbad, it offers a very decent M.Tech ECE. The main advantage in this case is the ‘IIT’ tag.
