Is Jamia Millia Islamia safe for girls student?
Jamia Millia Islamia is perfectly safe for women. You will never deal with anything troubling at the campus. Jamia is an institution that is known to treat every student equally and doesn't show any kind of partiality.
The institute will act as your guardian. It would not shy away from its responsibility to protect you irrespective of your caste, gender, community, etc.
How is life at Ramjas College Delhi University?
One of my friends studied at Ramjas College, Delhi. According to him, it is a really great institution as it is one of the oldest and experienced colleges under DU. His life at Ramjas was fulfilling with new experiences that shaped him up as an individual.
- They have a very helpful and friendly faculty. They even being in such respected positions talked with the students with enough humility.
- The seniors are also friendly and very cooperative. They will guide you properly through your academic year. You will not find them to be intimidating.
- Ramjas is very lenient with attendance. You can take leaves to prepare for other exams or extracurricular activities.
- They have active societies and clubs which include dance, drama, music, quiz, entrepreneurship, coding, games, etc.
- Students can take part in them to improve their skills. It helps with the holistic development of the students.
- The college canteen is a two storey building with the first floor being fully air conditioned, and a rooftop.
- Although the first floor hardly remains open as it generally gets utilized for presentations or seminars.
- You will get to explore many hangout spots surrounding the college.
The one thing that Ramjas lacks is a good and cooperative administration. They are very unresponsive and sometimes do not pay any attention to the students' problems and queries. But overall the college is really good and apt for a students intellectual and holistic development.
Which is better, AMU or NIT?
I was in a similar dilemma some years back. I ended up choosing AMU, but I am not happy with my decision. The placements at average level NITs like NIT Kurukshetra are much better than those at AMU.
I got placed for 3.5 LPA at a well known company. But my friend who studied at NIT Kurukshetra got a much higher offer from some other brand. It is better if you choose a good branch at a decent NIT, and master your subject. The ‘NIT’ tag holds a lot of prestige. Companies that visit both Jamia and AMU, offer better packages for the same roles to Jamia students.
Thus, I would strongly recommend you choose a decent NIT over AMU any day.
Which should I choose, MNNIT Allahabad CSE or DTU SE?
MNNIT Allahabad offers good CSE. In terms of opportunities, MNNIT CSE is at par with top NITs (and even some IITs). As for course curriculum and faculty, these are almost equally good at all top engineering colleges. During 2023 placements, the highest package for CSE at MNNIT was 1.35 CPA, and the average package was 27.57 LPA. SE is comparatively easier than CSE or IT, but it offers similar placement opportunities to its students. SE students are eligible for companies seeking CSE/IT students.
Both the colleges are highly reputed, and you can choose either of them for your B.Tech studies.
What is the fee structure of Thiagarajar College of engineering in Madurai, Tamil Nadu and India?
The fee structure of Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai differs depending on the type of seats. For Govt. aided seats, the course fee is INR 17500, and for self-financed seats, the fee is INR 83000. The hostel fees stay in the range of INR 80000 or 70000 depending on the blocks assigned.
What is the difference in doing a six-year MCh neurology course in NIMHANS and in other colleges in India?
I am not aware of other colleges but since my cousin is currently pursuing a six-year MCh neurology course in NIMHANS, I have better knowledge in that regard.
- NIMHANS has a huge patient load and the OPDs are open till late hours in the evening. The cases entertained are very diverse ranging from PIVD to brainstem gliomas.
- There is a dedicated trauma team that receives around 100–150 trauma cases every day from mild concussions to SAH. The OT runs on all working days and every day in case of emergency.
- Some of the most common surgeries conducted here are aneurysmal clipping to functional surgeries such as DBS or functional hemispherectomy.
- The academics aren’t compromised and general classes are conducted throughout the week. Here, primary importance is given to clinical exposure so students get a lot of raw material to work with to gain clinical knowledge.
- You will also have enough research facilities to satiate your research thirst.
Overall, you will have a lot of opportunities and your schedule will be extremely busy while pursuing the 6-year MCh neurology course.
How is the placement in CSE at IIT Guwahati?
Around 90% of students at IIT Guwahati are successfully placed and the placements are considered to be the best. It's important to note that the remaining students who weren't placed actually opted for higher education in other reputed universities. Top recruiters like Uber, Samsung, Microsoft, Google, and JP Morgan visit the university with the highest package offered by Uber being INR 2.2 Crore and the lowest package being INR 15 LPA. The average salary package for Computer Science Engineering (CSE) is INR 29 LPA. In terms of internships, students were offered INR 2 lacs per month by companies such as Uber and Microsoft. A majority of students tend to choose careers in software development and web development.
In 2022, the highest packages have been offered by Microsoft and Google. Around 90-92% of students secured excellent internships and every student is satisfied with their internship experience. Companies visit the campus during the third year, providing students with ample opportunities to pursue their career aspirations.
I have converted IMT Ghaziabad Marketing how good are the placements? Having 20 months of IT experience will it affect my chances at the placements?
A lot regarding placement depends on the size of your batch. Batch size is an important factor because marketing companies mostly recruit a maximum of 3-4 candidates at a time, whereas finance companies generally recruit 7-8 people. However, IMT Ghaziabad is known for its marketing course and there are decent companies that come for recruitment. Whether having 20 months of IT experience will affect your chances at the placements or not depends on how you and your classmates perform on that particular day. Keep in mind that the requirements of companies have changed and many IT firms now recruit freshers, non-engineers, and non-IT background people as well. So, you never know what opportunities may be available to you.
A quick suggestion is not to panic and sit for a company that you wouldn't have considered under any other circumstances. Don't act desperate. With 12-24 months of work experience, you are in a good position and will have the opportunity to apply to most companies. So, you don't have to worry as much as the freshers or those with 3+ years of experience do.
How is IET Lucknow for an MBA?
One of my friends is a recent alumni of the institute. According to him it is a really good institute. Let me share his experience which might help you get to know the college better.
- A few years back, IET Lucknow offered MBA only in HR, Marketing, Finance, IT, and IB.
- In case you want to go for IT or IB, you might have to study yourselves, without the assistance of the faculty.
- The professors are usually supportive and extremely co-operative. However, their pedagogy is not as best as you can possibly anticipate. Most of the faculty is contract based.
- Fundamentally, the HOD and the office boy are possibly the only permanent members of the institute.
- The fees, however, are extremely low. It is 60,000 to 70,000 for a period of 2 years.
- You should obtain a very good rank so as to enroll at IET Lucknow. My friend mainly secured the position of 72nd in the general category.
- The placements for MBA students is not particularly the best.

You can choose enrolling at IET Lucknow since it is better than most other other institutes located in vicinity of it. Since IET Lucknow is also affordable, the general pressure of loans usually gets off the shoulders of students.
What will a graduate of SPJIMR/IIM-K/MDI miss out compared to someone graduating from IIM’s A/B/C?
This question can be best answered by someone who has had a taste of both campuses. Fortunately one of my friends was lucky enough to move to IIM Ahmedabad after studying for a year at IIM Kozhikode. He shared his experience and the various things that contrasted in both the B Schools.
Faculty: Being the topmost B School, IIM Ahmedabad does attract some of the best faculties that are experts in their fields. They had too much knowledge and experience to impart making the classes a thrilling experience.
Crowd: While the crowd at almost all the good B Schools attracts only the best, IIM Ahmedabad is famous for its exceptionally good peer groups with only geniuses and masterminds in their respective fields.
Academic rigor: Normally B Schools offer a very hectic life with academic pressure combined with placements and clubs and committee activities. But at IIM Ahmedabad the topmost preference is Academics only. You are required to attend 3 lectures of 75 minutes of case study daily. These case studies are extremely lengthy and on average you are required to read 300 pages every day. Such economic rigor is lacking in the case of IIM Kozhikode.
There are several more minor differences between IIM Kozhikode and IIM Ahmedabad but these 3 are the main things an aspirant needs to consider while choosing one of the two B Schools.
