Yes, AIIMS Delhi is definitely worth it considering the fact that it is one of the most prestigious medical colleges in India, and thus an MBBS degree from there is highly respected. What makes it worth it is the excellent faculty, state-of-the-art facilities, and strong research programs. However, the actual worth of an institution depends on the individual's goals and preferences.
It’s difficult to comment on whether joining AIIMS Delhi would bring joy to you in comparison to other state medical colleges because not many students have experienced both college lives and those who have experienced loved the overall program rather than the institute. In reality, the colleges don’t differ much and these little differences don’t affect your learning experience to a great extent. Everyone considers their college to be the best or worst when in reality every institute has its own strengths and weaknesses.
Every college you go to will be the best and offer a great learning experience. So don’t worry too much about your college and focus on what is being taught.
Many AIIMS Delhi students have reported that the academic rigor and resources at AIIMS Delhi are top-notch and that the campus community is very supportive. As an alumnus of MIT, here are a few reasons why I have placed MIT in the top:
- Top Engineering streams like CSE, IT, Mech, ECE, and EEE at MIT are as good as the NITs.
- It has only merit-based seats and no management quota. On the other hand, in KIIT and other institutions, the majority of intake is from management quota.
- The All India MU-OET exam brings in a good crowd at MIT. The campus life, faculty, and alumni are also great.
- MIT has a decent placement record and a great campus life. During placements at MIT, I sat for 50 companies and by the end received 3 placement offers. Currently, I am working at TATA Motors.
- If the high fee is not an issue for you, MIT is the best option after IITs, BITS, and top NITs.
- People tolerate opposing views and the approach is more egalitarian at MIT.
- MIT student has the distinction of being an undergraduate with the highest number of research papers in the country to his credit (22 research papers in 4 years).
Though KIIT is a good institution with improving academics and placements, I would say that MIT ranks the highest among the four.

- BITS Goa is a top-notch college and it is considered an achievement in itself. Most of the students come with an assured casual mindset of getting placed. This usually destroys their interest to learn.
- Zero Attendance System is followed in the institute. It is another reason for low CGPAs. Here, students are allowed to sit for exams even after not attending a single lecture. Students become casual, and this hinders their learning.
