Which college should I choose for CSE: BIET Jhansi, KNIT Sultanpur, MMM Gorakhpur or JSS Noida?
Among all the mentioned colleges, MMM Gorakhpur is the best.
JSS Noida is a private college and all the other three colleges are government colleges. So, choosing a private UPTU college over a government college does not make sense.

What is the scope of instrumentation & control engineering in NIT Trichy placement-wise?
NIT Trichy placements are good for Instrumentation & Control Engineering. Microsoft, P&G, Reliance Industries, etc. are some of the major recruiters that take part in the placement drive. The highest CTC offered to the students of this branch is around INR 40-50 LPA. Around 65-70% of students also get internship opportunities.
How are the placements of environmental engineering at DTU?
The placements of environmental engineering at DTU are great. According to the placement highlights of 2019, the environmental engineering department received a total of 38 placement offers and 27 students from the department got placed. The highest CTC received by the students of this department was around 16 LPA in this academic season. In the past students of environmental engineering received placement packages up to 25 lakhs per annum. The company offering the package was Brother Industries and the post was software developer. Students are offered lucrative packages at reputed firms such as ZS, MuSigma, Deloitte, UHG, Practo, RNF, Printvenue, etc. These companies offer average placement packages of around 5-6 lakhs per annum for non-tech posts. However, placements are not too promising for core companies. But a number of software firms, consultancies, analytics, R&D, finance MNCs visit the campus for placement sessions.

The BITS brand + coding culture means ~60% end up in software/data roles, ~40% in core VLSI/embedded/hardware. If you want core ECE career, BITS is excellent. I am confused amongst IIIT Delhi, NSIT, and DTU for CSE. What are some suggestions?
All three colleges namely, IIIT Delhi, NSIT, and DTU are excellent options for CSE. However, you might want to consider the following points before making the final decision
- Campus life: In terms of campus life, the DTU is the best option followed by NSUT and IIIT Delhi. DTU offers a very laid-back cap pledge life experience with a minimal workload and a lot of time to pursue your hobbies. There aren’t many restrictions on attendance also.
- Curriculum: IIIT Delhi is a clear winner in terms of curriculum as it has no extra subjects in the first year. Students are taught coding languages and related assignments from day one and thus prepare students better than their counterparts.
- Research: IIIT Delhi is a research-oriented institute and has better research facilities, labs, and resources. DTU and NSUT have a similar research culture.
- Infrastructure: IIIT Delhi is a newly established college so has modern infrastructure, although the campus is small. DTU and NSUT have larger campuses and better sports facilities.
- Fees: IIIT Delhi charges extremely high fees around INR 4.62 Lakhs (1st Year Fees) which is almost double the fees charged by DTU INR 2.19 Lakhs (1st Year Fees)
So choose wisely based on your priorities!
After completing a B.Tech from NIT Trichy, is it advisable to pursue an M.Tech in IITs or IISc?
No, it's certainly not a wise decision to pursue an MTech after completing BTech from NIT Trichy. The courses and the approach are similar, giving you no newer perspectives and wasting 2 years as well as the money spent. A better alternative is to go for an MS or Ph.D. abroad instead. That will be the true utilization of your money, knowledge, and time.
However, if you are hesitant about going abroad, an MBA from an Indian B school is also a great option.
An MTech in IIT should only be considered if you have a low CGPA and have no project achievement up your sleeve. The MTech course will give you a second chance to improve your grades and work well on projects improving your profile as a whole. This will help you open better Ph.D. options. But if you are not planning to do one, then MTech is again of no use.
Is BIT Sindri good for CSE?
BIT Sindri is very good for CSE in many ways be it infrastructure, campus life, hostels or education. Few colleges have separate departmental buildings but BIT has a separate building for all its branches.

Jamia Millia Islamia provides hostel facilities to B.Tech students. The hostel accommodation is decent. The hostel fees are only INR 6,400. The fees include electricity, water supply, and mess facilities. Hostel rooms are spacious and comfortable. The hostel has wi-fi facilities. The hostel has a gym, a TV room, and a huge hall for studying.
Which is better: Electronics and Instrumentation in BITS Pilani or Computer Science in BITS Goa or Hyderabad? Why?
The decision should be completely based on your interests. It is always better to choose a course that has ample opportunities; otherwise, you will end up jobless. You have to maintain a good CGPA to get a placement here since the competition level is very high. BITS Pilani is comparatively better at academics and placement support than BITS, Goa, or Hyderabad.
When it comes to the selection of the course, Electronics and Instrumentation are a bit difficult for scoring a good CGPA. After this course, you are open to both CSE and EEE fields for your higher studies (based on the electives you have selected).
CSE is comparatively better, which opens up high opportunities and BITS across India provides placement support for students with good CGPA

How is nit calicut regarding placements in cse?
The placement cell of NIT Calicut is good and is equal to other IITs. The non-Indian companies offer more than 28 LPA to freshers unlike the Indian companies. So there always remains a misunderstanding among candidates about the salary package offered. They used to think most of the companies offer a 40 LPA salary package, but these only include the companies in the US. Even Google India, Codenation, Directi offer not more than 24 LPA to the students. Based on these salary packages offered we can see that placements at NIT Calicut are really good.

NIT Calicut was consistent with a 99% placement record, offering students an average salary package of 8.5 LPA which gradually increased to 9-12 LPA.
