Which is better, IIIT Hyderabad CLD or BITS Pilani, Goa Campus CSE?
IIIT Hyderabad is the better option to secure your career. Here, the main attraction in CLD is the LTRC laboratory. You can also publish your papers at top conferences. IIT Hyderabad increases your chances of earning your MS and Ph.D. abroad, and CLD branch students have ample job opportunities. - IT giants like Facebook, Google, etc. Don't allow ICE students to sit for placements.
- Core companies that recruit students of this branch include Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, and others.
- Non-tech companies like BCG, Bain, and JPMC allow all students to sit for placements.
- NSIT has a larger batch size and thus the competition here is less than DTU for placements but it still it cannot match the brand value of DTU.
In all, both DTU and NSIT have similar opportunities and placements so with the right mindset you can do well at both colleges.
What 's your view on the AI course offered by IIT Hyderabad, its cutoff, future scope, and course pressure?
IIT Hyderabad is the first institute in India to launch a BTech program on AI engineering. I think the credibility of a certain field can be judged by its cutoff and the cutoff of AI has been seen as giving an edge to CSE of IIT Hyderabad and other old IITs.

This course is a really good choice that has a genuine interest in AI and wants to pursue a career in the same.
How good is CSE at NIT Jamshedpur?
I have a friend at NIT Jamshedpur, so I can give you a brief idea about the CSE department.
The placement of the CSE department in NIT Jamshedpur somehow reached some new highs over the last few years. Students from the CSE department have a placement average of around 95%.

Although if you are aspiring for an MS or MBA, then NIT Jamshedpur is probably not the best choice for you. You will get ample time during vacations to prepare but the environment of the institute is not ideal for the preparation of these examinations.

How is ICE at NIT Trichy?
My brother is a recent graduate of Instrumentation and Control Engineering at NIT Trichy, so let me share some facts about its overall performance.
There are some pros and cons of the department which include:
Pros:
- Vibration control research in ICE at Nit Trichy is really good.
- Robotics, Control, and Electronics are also good for pursuing your graduate studies.
- Career/ Job aspects across a variety of profiles are accessible for ICE graduates in campus placements.
- Seniors help a lot with academics.
- You will be trained to work under pressure.
- Classrooms are neat and have a great environment. No uniform is required for entering the labs.

Cons:
- There are only 11 faculties in the department out of which only two faculties teach properly.
- Labs are not up-to-the-mark. Most of the electronics components don’t work properly. The guidance is inadequate.
- Assignments provide little help.
- Due to continuous fests in the college, it might be difficult to concentrate on your studies.
- Like every college, there should be 4 classes per week, but here in ICE, the faculty members tend to keep 6-8 classes per week with students attending the classes just for the attendance.
- Subjects like PDD, Engineering Mechanics, and Analytical Instrumentation are taken for granted.
If you are really interested in Instrumentation, only then you should join this department. Otherwise, join some other branch in NIT T so that you are able to learn something.
How is CSE in NIT kurukshetra?
Let me clarify the fact that NIT Kurukshetra has the CE or Computer Engineering branch and not CSE. While the former deals with hardware concepts the latter is all about software. The overall branch is decent but not at par with the IT or CSE branches of other institutes. The syllabus is somewhat outdated and so are the labs.
As far as the placements are concerned, the campus is visited by several IT companies like Directi, Amazon, Adobe, CDOT, etc Students often receive PPO and PPI from companies like Flookatt and Microsoft. The placement scenario is similar for IT as well.

One needs to maintain a CGPA of around 8.5+ to secure good packages in CE at NIT Kurukshetra. The institute organizes several fests to ensure extracurricular activities are also conducted. The tech-society TECHNOBYTE organizes a lot of events during fests. Additionally, the GAWDS is a group of web and graphic enthusiasts where you can learn about software development. Frequent workshops for competitive programming are held on campus by the seniors.
Overall, the CE branch at NT Kurukshetra is good with decent placements, hostel facilities, and crowd.
Does DTU CSE have 100% placement?

Even colleges better than DTU find it difficult to maintain a 100% record.
