What can be the average expense for a non-Delhi student to study in JNU?

Which college is better, New Horizon College of Engineering or Dayananda Sagar Academy of Technology and Management (DSATM)?
I know a few people from both New Horizon College and DSATM. So I will try to give you an idea about them based on what I heard from my friends at the institutes.
New Horizon College of Engineering:
One of my friends was part of the ECE branch at New Horizon. She had a great time at the institute. The faculty, lab attendants are quite supportive. They have working faculties even on Sunday. So, if you missed any classes during the week you can catch up on that. You will have ample freedom at the lab. The labs are well-equipped with the latest instruments and computers.
Dayananda Sagar Academy of Technology and Management:
Comparably DSATM doesn’t offer such facilities. A friend of mine had to do her final projects using external resources, as the computers provided by the institute didn’t have the minimum requirements. Her project guides and her professors were not that supportive either. But in terms of placements, DSR does offer better facilities.

How is IMI New Delhi? In terms of placements, infrastructure, faculty etc.
The following answer is based on my brother's experience in IMI New Delhi from where he completed his graduation last year. He mentioned the various aspects of the Institute like placements, infrastructure, and faculty. I have summarized his viewpoint under the following headings
- Infrastructure: The infrastructure was strictly average and nothing more than that. However, being located in the heart of the city it was easy to access various sports complexes. A basketball and a volleyball court are also available.
- Faculty: Being taught under such experienced professors is one of the best parts of being an IMI Delhi student. These professors are highly experienced and have a history of extensive research.
- Crowd: The crowd is a talented pool of students, some even with 99 percentiles. The students ranked well in terms of other aspects also like work experience and overall profile.
- Placements: Addressing the most sensitive issue, the placements are surely decent enough to get you good company. Many big brands visit the campus and good profiles are offered. You need to fill out the EOI and sit for the company you desire to join. With a legacy of more than 30 years, IMI New Delhi attracts big names to its campus. However, make sure you depend more on your own performance than the institute to guarantee a good placement package.
Overall my brother was very satisfied with the results of the placements and claimed his hard work did really pay off in the end.
Do the 1st year students at AIIMS Bhopal get single rooms?
For Boys, we are Given Double Rooms with Attached washrooms in the First year and Single rooms will be allotted in 2nd Year.
These Shared rooms are Quite Spacious and Well Furnished too. Each Room has a Balcony

So first-year girls get single rooms but boys do not.
How prestigious is JBIMS as a college when we look at all of the India rankings? It doesn’t have very good ranks when I Google the best MBA colleges in India. Is NMIMS better than JBIMS?
JBIMS' overall ranking on Google is impacted by its infrastructure, as the current building is a 1965 construction. However, the construction of a new state-of-the-art facility at Kalina is underway, which will improve JBIMS' ranking in terms of infrastructure.

When comparing JBIMS to NMIMS, it can be said that JBIMS is a better choice, with a lower fee structure, a better return on investment, a strong alumni network, and a more experienced faculty. Additionally, JBIMS has a smaller batch size of 120 students, which makes it easier for the college to place its students in top companies.
Has anyone left JBIMS for FMS? If yes, then why?
I have seen many people forgo offers from MDI, JBIMS, and even IIM Bangalore just for FMS Delhi. There are a number of reasons pertaining to why people make this decision. Some have been listed below
- Brand: FMS is one of the oldest MBA colleges and boasts a rich legacy and elaborate alumni base. It has given birth to many Managerial talents over the last decades and is a brand in itself. No doubt JBIMS is a good college but it cannot be compared with the brand name of FMS.
- Location: FMS boasts of a good locational advantage being situated in the heart of the country, Delhi. You can enjoy a lifestyle very similar to that of DU. Also, the budding startups and MNCs in nearby industrial areas like Gurgaon and Noida consider FMS the first choice for recruitment.
- Fees: The most distinguishing feature of FMS is its highly affordable fees in contrast to the hefty fees of other top B Schools. The fees are almost 1/10th of any other top B School while the placements are as good or even better than these B Schools thereby ensuring a spectacular ROI.
So your first choice has to be FMS unless you are willing to go for the Finance sector. In that case, JBIMS being situated in the Finance capital is a much better choice.
What is the most stupid thing you have heard in a BIT Mesra classroom?
My friend was a student of BIT Mesra and he has told me his share of funny stories from the institute. He used to make us laugh by telling us about the things he’d heard while he was still a student.
Following are the statements of the highly regarded “R.K. Narayan” of the institution
- He had no idea that he was slowly becoming the hero of Ranchi. He said that a lot of people used to come to his lectures and a revolution started no matter wherever he went.
- Russian and US had a hand behind Spain’s Euro 2012 victory. They wanted Italy to lose in the final so that petrol rates go down in India.
- M.S. Dhoni reminded him of himself. He said that like Dhoni, he was also never afraid to take his shots. “R.K.” said that he let others get to him when he should have let his cricket do the talking.
- During a power cur in class, he said that the US was conspiring against him.
- For more than a week at the start of every semester, he describes himself as the main bone of contention between the USSR and the US.
Another thing he used to tell us was how he had strong wrists and used to demonstrate how to hit a six. He said M.S. Dhoni’s style of hitting a six is similar to “R.K.”s.
How good is IIIT Delhi campus?
IIIT Delhi is a good option to pursue engineering Indraprastha Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIIT Delhi) is a prestigious state university located right in the heart of Delhi:

What are some preparation tips for the IIT JAM in mathematics?
If you practice math regularly, preparation will be effective. Math is the only subject that can’t be prepared by reading and listening. So, the IIT-JAM aspirants must be dedicated to practice. In the following, some important tips are listed, which may be beneficial if followed.
- Go through the syllabus thoroughly and get familiar with the topics.
- Collect previous year’s question papers so you understand the exam pattern along with the topic.
- Categorize the syllabus according to your convenience. Mark the topics in which you are good and the topic in which you need to improve.
- Maintaining a timetable is also essential, make sure you give equal time to all the topics.
- Try to avoid the preparation of 3-4 topics in one day as it will create confusion.
