Before explaining to you the CAP process convened by IIM Rohtak let’s discuss in brief what exactly CAP is.

CAP stands for Common Admission Process. It is a single admission process conducted by the following IIMs alternatively: IIM Ranchi, IIM Trichy, IIM Rohtak, IIM Raipur, IIM Udaipur, or IIM Kashipur. Under this process, the candidate has to give a WAT/PI(Written Ability Test/Personal Interview) process under CAP. CAP process

Let’s discuss the various steps involved in this admission process

  • Fill in your choices of IIMs in the CAT form.
  • When CAT results are declared, the institutes under CAP make a shortlist based on their own criteria.
  • The IIM which is organizing the CAP that year collects the shortlisted candidates' names from other institutes and informs them about the CAP IIMs which have shortlisted them for WAT/PI.

How can I get an education loan (I have got admission in NIT Durgapur)?

TS
Tanya Sharma Posted On : September 7th, 2023
Studied at National Institute of Technology Durgapur

You can avail these reliefs from the college/ banks to pursue your education at NIT Durgapur-

The tuition fee of NIT Durgapur is INR 62,500 per semester for B.Tech students. But if your family income is less than 1 Lakh or you belong to SC/ST category, your tuition fee will be 100% waived. If your family income is between 1 Lakh- 5 Lakh per annum, your tuition fee will be 2/3rd waived.

To get a waiver on your fee, you have to submit an income certificate from competent authorities.

You can take an educational loan from a bank. When you visit the campus during admissions, you will spot people with pamphlets of their banks. Approach them and they will guide you through the entire process. I know some people who teach tuition to local students. This is a great way of earning some money on the side.

I hope this answer helped you and provided some useful guidance.

Can a fresher with no work experience gain admission to ISB Hyderabad? If yes, then how?

RS
Rachit Sengupta Posted On : March 24th, 2022
studied at Indian School of Business

Yes, you can. ISB Hyderabad admission process includes two options for students with less work experience.

Early Entry Option - EEO is a deferred admission option to the ISB PGP program. Recent graduates with less than 24 months of work experience can secure admission through this option. If you are selected, you will be eligible to join the program upon achieving 24 months of work experience.

Young Leaders Programme - YLP helps students get the tools they need to succeed at the work place. The program will also help you in getting admission at ISB PGP. You can apply to YLP during the prefinal or final year of your UG or PG degree. If you are selected to YLP, you need to complete at least 20 months of work experience. You will attend learning weekends through YLP. Once you fulfill the required work experience criteria and the deferment period is done, you can attend ISB.

How do I join in IBS Hyderabad?

HN
Hardik Nagar Posted On : February 21st, 2023
PCMBA in Marketing, ICFAI Business School, Hyderabad (Graduated 2018)

Getting admitted to ICFAI Business School Hyderabad is relatively easier compared to other MBA colleges. To gain admission, you will need to possess average aptitude skills. The first step is to appear for the IBSAT, which is conducted by IBS for all its campuses. The exam is relatively easy and can be cleared with decent learning and regular practice of aptitude for not more than 3 months. Additionally, you can also apply to IBS through other MBA exam scores, but IBSAT is easier and more widely accepted.

Based on your performance in the IBSAT, you will receive an invitation for a Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD-PI) at the IBS Hyderabad campus.

During the GD-PI, you have the opportunity to showcase your communication skills, domain knowledge, general affairs, and intent for pursuing an MBA. If you perform well in the GD-PI, you will have a good chance of getting admitted to IBS Hyderabad. Although there may be other ways to get admitted to IBS Hyderabad, appearing for the IBSAT and performing well in the GD-PI is the most straightforward method.

Is IIM Raipur worth joining?

I
Inayat Posted On : February 6th, 2023
Studied at the Indian Institute of Management Raipur (Graduated 2021)

Making a decision to join an MBA college is a significant investment in money, time, and effort. It can be a source of confusion, dilemma, and anxiety for MBA aspirants. The question of whether an MBA college is worth joining is subjective, as the returns on investment will vary for different individuals. For some, only the top-ranked colleges like IIM Ahmadabad, Bangalore, or Calcutta will be considered. In contrast, for others, a more pragmatic approach may be taken to weigh the pros and cons of different options.

IIM Raipur, in its 12th year of inception, has been making tremendous strides in its growth journey and is worth joining for several reasons.

  • First, placements at IIM Raipur have been consistently strong, with an increase in the number of companies visiting the campus for final and summer placements, and diversification in the roles offered. The average package has also been rising, with students being offered roles in analytics, wealth management, and other fields. Additionally, IIM Raipur is a non-profit government institution with affordable fees, compared to many private institutions.
  • Second, the IIM brand is a significant asset, as it is widely recognized as a symbol of excellence in the industry. It instills a sense of confidence in students and opens up opportunities for them in the corporate world.
  • Third, the new campus of IIM Raipur has state-of-the-art infrastructure with modern design and modern classrooms, sports complexes, and hostels with single occupancy and attached bathrooms.
  • Fourth, the course pedagogy at IIM Raipur offers flexibility in terms of curriculum design, which is relevant to the industry. It allows students to pursue majors in more than one specialization, and thus broaden the spectrum of career opportunities.
  • Finally, life at IIM Raipur is vibrant and diverse, with multiple platforms for students to explore and express interests beyond the classroom, including extra-curricular activities, student club activities, and various student bodies that give an avenue to improve leadership skills, interpersonal skills, and create memories in the process.

While there may be some shortcomings, such as the mess food or the location of Raipur, it is crucial to keep in mind that the college is making great strides in all dimensions, and is definitely worth joining compared to many other institutions in its league.

Industrial quota or consortium quota as it is generally called is a medium through which a student can be admitted to any of the UG courses of the university.

Anyone who has an industry can apply through this quota which is its main qualification. The process is as follows:

  • The university reviews all the applications submitted.

  • It then visits the industry and makes a report on the background of the company.

  • Based on the report the applied candidate is given a seat in the university.

Most importantly an MOU is signed between the university and the industry.

The main thing to consider is that the company should be related to the course the candidate is willing to pursue.
