The institute offers diverse courses at all levels, i.e., Undergraduate, Post-Graduate, Ph.D., and Fellowship programs. The admission procedure at IIT Bhubaneswar is similar to that of any other IIT.
For undergraduate admissions, all of the IITs hold a two-tier entrance examination called the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). The first tier of the entrance test is known as JEE Mains and the second one is JEE Advanced. Once you go through JEE Mains, you are allowed to sit for JEE Advanced. If you clear JEE Advanced you will have the chance to get admission to the desired IIT.
In order to be eligible for admission at any IIT, candidates must clear both the exams and must have secured a good rank. If you secure the cutoff asked by the institute you can choose the institutes and courses, in the order of your preference during Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counseling. After document verification, the authority allocates you to the institute as per your ranking and preference.
For getting admission in postgraduate courses you need to clear GATE and the departmental interviews.
