As a B.Tech CSE student at Sathyabama University, I can tell you about my branch and my university.
I got in through management quota, the other way is entrance. I booked my seat before my 12th result by paying 50k and providing my 10th marksheet. For this, I visited the university in March after my public exam. After your 12th result, you can visit and confirm your seat. You’ll get in even with low marks in class 12th. The fee is around 2 Lakhs per year, but the infrastructure and other facilities are good.
Through entrance, you’ll need a rank below 3000. Still, it isn’t sure that you’ll get CSE. CSE seats are completely filled in the first counseling round itself. My friend acquired 1600 rank, but couldn’t get into CSE. Getting in through entrance is extremely difficult due to high competition. Take this route only if you are sure of ranking high in the exam.
This is how you can get into Sathyabama University for your CSE. I do not know about the admission process in Hindustan University.
The life of a first-year student at KMC Manipal is quite hectic but it teaches you to maintain a healthy balance between studies and other co-curriculars. You will spend the initial days socializing yourself with your batchmates and adjusting yourself to the surroundings. You will familiarize yourself with the pedagogy and also identify the study methods that suit you. Students hang out with their like-minded people. and also pursue their nonacademic interests. Being your first time away from home, you might face some issues adjusting initially so here are some things you should always keep in your mind here
Hope this helps you!

As you can see, for a general category candidate, the closing ranks did not go beyond 3000 in the previous year. However, for an SC/ST candidate, the closing ranks are more relaxed. Also, if you are from some other state, 50% seats are reserved for Keralite students.
During CUSAT spot allotment, you can get the seats that are left or not filled up. These seats are filled rank-wise. Speaking statistically, a lot of students who are above you rank-wise will show up during the spot allotment. So, your chances depend upon the number of candidates above you who show up on that day.
You will get into Jaipuria Institute of Management Lucknow even without giving any exam. Tier 4,5 institutions aren’t a good choice for pursuing your management studies.
The top 25 business schools have the right to claim that they provide the necessary management education and experience. You must aim to pursue your management studies from the top 25 business schools. By top 25, I mean the best 30-35 institutions
that can be grouped into the top 25.
I did some research on what management institutions you should join to have a successful career. According to me, do not choose Jaipuria Institute of Management Lucknow as your priority. If you wish to get a good start, score well in the CAT examination, and get 90+ percentile. You can then secure a seat in one of the best management institutes that will groom your personality and provide you with the necessary skills.
Admission to JBIMS can be gained through two methods: Direct admission based on written scores in CET and other All India entrance tests, or shortlisting based on CAT/CET scores and GD-PI.
For the Direct admission method, 15% of the total intake will be set aside for All India seats. This includes seats for Maharashtra residents, as well as a maximum of 18 seats for students from outside of Maharashtra. The cutoff for these seats is generally a score of 99.98 or higher in any of the entrance tests, such as CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA, or CET. Additionally, there are 2 seats set aside for students from Jammu and Kashmir, which are not counted among the 18 outside Maharashtra seats.
For the Shortlisting method, there is no fixed quota. Students with a score of 99 percentile or higher, a good profile, and successful performance in the GDPI can be admitted. When this method was followed in the past, students with scores as low as 97 percentile received calls, but most admitted students had scores of 98.8 or higher in CET or CAT. This method promotes diversity and fairness, but the method used for admission is ultimately up to the discretion of the institute.
In conclusion, students from outside of Maharashtra can get into JBIMS as long as they have a strong written score and perform well in the selection process.
Apart from general M.Com, Shivaji University Kolhapur offers MCom. in Accounting and Auditing, Business Management, Cost Accountancy, Banking, Business Administration, Mercantile, Mathematics, Industrial Law and Actuarial Science.
The eligibility criteria for admission into M.Com is a B.Com or equivalent from a recognized university. Admissions are solely based on graduation score of the candidates, and accordingly, the counseling rounds are conducted.
This year, the candidate with 54.5% in graduation was placed 168th in general merit rank. The highest rank holder in the merit list scored 87.17% in graduation.
Thus, you can easily get into Shivaji University for your M.Com with a decent percentage in your B.Com.
In IISc Bangalore, for certain programs, only the GATE scores are taken into consideration. For example- M.Tech (course) in CSA and SSA streams.
In the above-mentioned programs, you have to secure the top 50-100 rank in the GATE CS examination.
For M.Tech in some streams, and M.Tech (Research) and Ph.D. programs, IISc Bangalore uses the GATE score simply as a cutoff. The selection is done based on the written test and subsequent interview. The GATE cutoff for an interview call is relatively low. This is done with the idea that a good student who had a bad exam can still perform extremely well during the interview. For M.Tech/ Ph.D. CS, this rank is equal to the top 500-1000 ranks(for those who apply), but it can go to 200 for other streams.
Your GATE scores and GPA during graduation become mostly irrelevant once you get called by IISc Bangalore for an interview. They can only work to make the interviewer biased toward/against you, this won’t happen unless you have significantly high or low scores respectively. What matters for your selection is if you can impress the interviewers with your knowledge of the topic(s) that you want to study/research.
Thus, if you go for a course at IISc Bangalore which makes selections through a written test and an interview, make sure to study your topic well and answer the interviewers with confidence.
