Where are the DTU campuses located?

S
SilentSkeptic Posted On : April 4th, 2026

DTU has its main campus situated in Delhi, and there’s also an East Campus where I’m studying. It's really vibrant here with about 2000 students. I picked DTU because it’s one of the better colleges in Delhi, and I wanted to dive deeper into Economics. The professors here are quite experienced, especially the guest faculty, many of whom are JNU PhD scholars. The campus life is also pretty exciting, especially with events like Engifest happening every year!

How many marks should one get to have access to BA in DTU?

S
SereneSailor Posted On : April 4th, 2026

Honestly, I’d say you need to be aiming for around 85% in your Class 12 to have a strong chance of getting into the BA program at DTU. That’s what I did, and it helped me secure a seat. With so many students vying for limited spots, having good marks really makes a difference.

How is BA (Hons.) Economics branch at DTU? What about its placement in 2025/26??

F
FuzzyFervor Posted On : April 3rd, 2026

Studying BA (Hons.) Economics at DTU has been a fulfilling journey for me. I chose this course because of my interest in economics and history from school. The campus has around 2000 students, and the faculty is quite knowledgeable. The internship opportunities are decent, with startups and established firms like Bajaj and Byjus visiting for placements. For 2025/26, I think the placement scene is promising, but only about 20-25% of students get placed each year, so it’s competitive. The average package is around 5 LPA, so I’m aiming to secure a decent offer myself.

What is the reputation of DTU in New Delhi for studying BA??

D
DerpyDonut Posted On : April 3rd, 2026

Absolutely, you should consider it! I'm currently enrolled in the same course. At first, I was skeptical since it's a new program for the college. But I have to say, the faculty is fantastic! It's better than most of the faculty at Delhi University. If you're not getting into a top college, definitely think about DTU. The professors come from some of the best colleges in DU.

Here are some points to consider:

  • The campus may not be the best right now (but it's improving, and both the professors and the Delhi government are working hard to enhance it).
  • Academically, it's worth it! In just one year, the college has made significant progress.
  • We organized our own fest! We were all freshers too.
  • The faculty is incredibly supportive.
  • Teaching happens here, and we take our end-semester exams on the main campus.
  • We participate in various events at the main campus and are often invited for different programs.

So, don’t think we’re disconnected from the main campus. Overall, this newly established campus is on its way to becoming one of the best colleges for Economics Honours in the coming years.

P.S.: I scored 94% too!

What is the fee structure at DTU? Like what is the annual fee is there any concession for people who come from lower middle class families??

A
AstralQuote Posted On : April 3rd, 2026

Bhai, suno yeh:

  • Agar aapki family income 4 lakh se kam hai, toh aapko fee concession mil sakta hai, lekin vo end mein milta hai.
  • Jab aap admission lete ho DTU mein, toh counselling ke dauran aapko acceptance fee 95,000 pay karni hoti hai.
  • College shuru hone par notice aata hai ki aapko 1,42,000 ka fee dena hoga, jo aapko college ke 2nd ya 3rd din tak pay karna hota hai.
  • Aap date extend karne ke liye application de sakte ho, lekin vo sirf 30 din ke liye hota hai.
  • Aapko fee pay karni hoti hai irrespective of your caste.
  • Phir aap scholarship ke liye apply kar sakte ho, agar mil gaya toh thoda relief mil sakta hai, lekin scholarship par poora depend mat raho kyunki yeh full amount nahi de sakta.
  • Admission le lo aur loan ke liye apply kar lo orientation ya college shuru hone se pehle, yeh aapke liye beneficial hoga.

Main bhi DTU CSE student hoon (yeh information 2024 fees ke according hai, agle saal naye students ke liye fees badh sakti hai).

Thanks kar diyo bhai! Aur kuch puchna ho toh welcome hai!

What is the cutoff of DTU for BA? I am a general category candidate from Delhi NCR?

S
SerpentineRealm Posted On : April 3rd, 2026

(I am assuming you are from the Delhi Region) These days, it's not just about your JEE Main Score; your board marks play a significant role too. Let's break it down:

  • 1) If your board percentage is in the range of 93% to 95%, you’ll need to score around 185-200 to get into branches like IT/ECE.
  • 2) However, if your board percentage is above 96%, your percentile increases significantly, which aids in the normalization process. With a score of 200+, you could achieve a rank under 5000 and secure a seat in CS at DTU.

In my opinion, focusing on your board exams is crucial for a good rank, and a decent score in JEE Mains will also boost your ranking. For instance, students with 89% in boards and 225 in mains have ended up with a rank of about 10000, while those with 98% and 175 in mains have secured around 1500 rank.

PS: The criteria mentioned above were applicable for admissions until 2016. From 2017 onwards, admissions are based solely on JEE Main scores. So, study hard for your JEE Exam, but don't neglect your board scores, especially if you plan to pursue an MBA later on, as 12th marks are considered.

Does DTU really offer an AI based learning environment?

S
StolenSunflower Posted On : April 2nd, 2026

DTU does offer an AI-based learning environment, particularly in courses related to economics and data analysis. The faculty comprises experienced professors, many of whom are doing research in AI fields. The infrastructure is also impressive, with well-equipped classrooms that facilitate modern teaching methods.

While I focus on my studies here, I can see that the college is actively trying to incorporate AI into our learning, which is essential for our future careers.

What is the fees structure of DTU for BA??

S
StarlightShrimp Posted On : April 1st, 2026

So, I’m currently in the BA program at DTU, and I can share that the fee structure is around 3 lakhs for the entire course. It’s split into about 90,000 for each of the first two years and then 1 lakh for the last year. While this is higher than what you'd find in other government colleges in Delhi, it’s still worth it for the quality of faculty and resources we get. Also, just be careful about backlogs because they charge 5,500 for one subject, which feels a bit excessive.

What is the in hand salary of students who graduated from BA DTU??

Z
ZenithKarma Posted On : April 1st, 2026

As a BA student at DTU, I can say the in-hand salary for freshers is pretty mixed. Some of my classmates got placed with offers around 5 LPA, while the highest package reached 13 LPA last year. Most of the placements are from companies like Byjus and Bajaj, but honestly, only about 20-25% of us got jobs. A lot of my friends are also looking into higher studies after graduation, which is something I’m considering too!

I got selection for BA in DTU but the fees is fairly high. I will have to take an education loan for it. Is it worth the entire effort and money??

S
ScuffedSculptor Posted On : April 1st, 2026

Honestly, choosing DTU for BA is a big decision, especially with the fees being on the higher side. I’m in the same boat and had to take an education loan too. The faculty here is quite experienced, which is great for learning. Companies like Bajaj and Byjus come for placements, and while not everyone gets placed, the exposure you get is valuable. Plus, events like Engifest are amazing for campus life. If you’re really passionate about your subjects and want to aim for higher studies afterward, it might just be worth it!
