UP Technical University to Conduct Online Final Year Exams after Mid-July 2021

UP Technical University final year students will have to wait for a month or two to complete the graduation as the Technical Education Department of the state has taken a decision to not expedite Final Year Exam 2021 process. Examinations would be held in online mode and not before mid-July.

UP Technical University to Conduct Online Final Year Exams after Mid July 2021

Earlier, examinations all throughout the country had been affected due to the second wave of this COVID-19 pandemic. This has added to the adversities for both the conducting bodies and appearing students. According to reports, the technical education department is also working to develop software to conduct exams that can work on mobile along with desktop and laptops. 

Referring to UP tech university final-year exams, Alok Kumar, Secretary of technical education, tweeted, "At present, we are trying for a system where students can appear from their homes. Still, if students face connectivity issues they may visit a cyber cafe to take the test.”

Kumar also advised students to start attending lectures and said the government will take any decision regarding exams only after keeping student’s interest in mind. In another reply, he said, "Most likely an online exam will be held for Polytechnic students also."

The latest development in the scenario of the Final Year students of UP Technical University comes after there have been talks of a new software being designed to conduct examinations in a fair and proctored environment. 

The Vice-Chancellor of Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU), Professor Samsher, also said, “The guidelines of examinations are being framed by the technical education department of the UP government and HBTU will adopt the same.”
