SC to hear NEET PG 2025 answer key plea today; counselling dates for 50% AIQ MD, MS admissions awaited at mcc.nic.in.

Latest Update on NEET PG 2025 Transparency Plea

On September 23, 2025, the Supreme Court was set to hear the NEET PG 2025 answer key petition, but the Supreme Court has once again postponed the NEET PG hearing.

According to media reports and recent posts on X, the court will now take up the petition on September 26. The hearing, which addresses alleged irregularities in the NEET PG answer key and results, was originally scheduled for today but has already been delayed twice.

Meanwhile, candidates are waiting for the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) to announce counselling dates, which have not yet been released. AIQ and state-quota MD/MS counselling schedule is expected soon.

Latest Update on NEET PG 2025 Transparency Plea

A group of NEET PG aspirants has moved the Supreme Court seeking greater transparency in the handling of the NEET PG 2025 answer key and question paper.

They have raised concerns that the current format, which only releases question IDs, correct answers, and candidate responses, is “opaque, unintelligible and incapable of meaningful verification.”

The petitioners have requested that the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences release the complete master question paper, citing that the shuffling of questions and alternatives across different versions makes the current disclosures insufficient.

The matter is being heard today by a bench comprising Justices J. B. Pardiwala and K. V. Viswanathan. The case was initially scheduled for September 12 but was postponed and is now being taken up as a priority hearing.

Meanwhile, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has not yet released the NEET PG 2025 counselling schedule. When published, the schedule will include registration, choice filling and locking, seat allotment, and reporting to allotted colleges.

Counselling will cover 50% All India Quota seats for MD and MS programs, along with State Quota, Deemed, Central, ESIC, and AFMS seats. Counselling is expected to begin by the last week of September 2025.

The NEET PG 2025 result was declared on August 19, 2025, followed by the release of the 50% AIQ merit list. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official MCC website for updates on counselling registration.

The outcome of today’s Supreme Court hearing could have a significant impact on how NEET PG answer keys and exam papers are disclosed in the future.

Once the SC verdict is delivered, MCC is expected to announce the counselling schedule. Aspirants planning to participate in counselling should keep all required documents, such as MBBS degree, internship completion certificate, identity proof, category certificate (if applicable), and recent photographs, ready and closely monitor official announcements.
