The VITREE process does not allow corrections once submitted, so candidates should ensure accuracy before submission.

VIT Vellore has opened registrations for VITREE 2026 for PhD admissions for the January 2026 session, with the exam scheduled on December 7, 2025, and the Personal Interview (PI) in hybrid mode on December 13 or 14, 2025.
The application fee for VITREE 2026 is INR 1200 for all categories, payable online via net banking, credit card, or debit card.
Eligibility criteria for the PhD program require that candidates have at least 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale; Direct PhD candidates require 75% marks or a CGPA of 7.5; and for the PhD in Deep Technology, a minimum of 75% marks or a CGPA of 8.0 in the relevant degree is necessary.

To apply, candidates must register online at the official VIT Vellore website, fill in personal and academic details, upload scanned documents including photographs and signatures, pay the application fee, and submit the form. After applying, candidates will be able to book their exam slot and centre. Check the VITREE 2026 Official Brochure.
