The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Goa, has released the list of candidates shortlisted for the Ph.D. written test and interview for January 2026 admissions.

The selection of NIT Goa is based on applications received for various departments, including Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, and Economics.

Candidates are advised to check the official notification for department-wise shortlist details, schedules, and instructions.

The written test for most departments is scheduled between December 6 and December 9, 2025, with reporting time at 9:00 AM and the test starting at 10:00 AM.

The venue and specific dates vary by department, and candidates must ensure they reach the campus in Cuncolim, Salcete, Goa, on time.

For departments like Economics, the written test is not applicable, and only shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews directly.

Candidates are required to bring original documents, including mark sheets, degree certificates, GATE/NET/JRF/UGC/CSIR/DST-INSPIRE qualified certificates, and category certificates (if applicable), along with a concise PPT presentation of their credentials and research achievements for the interview stage.

Regarding the application fee, the official notification does not specify a separate fee for the written test or interview; however, candidates must have paid the application fee during the initial online application process as per NIT Goa's guidelines.

Shortlisted candidates must now prepare for the written test and interview as per the schedule and instructions provided in the official notification.

All candidates are advised to regularly visit the NIT Goa website for updates and further instructions regarding the admission process. Those who fail to produce original documents on the day of the written test will not be allowed to appear for the test or interview.
