The Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET) has opened registrations for SLIET Entrance Test (SET) 2026 for admission to various programmes, including ICD, B.E. (Lateral Entry), Integrated M.Tech., Integrated B.Sc.-M.Sc., MBA, M.Sc., M.Tech., and PhD programmes. The registration window will remain open from February 10 to April 20, 2026.

As per the tentative schedule, the SET 2026 examination will be conducted on May 9, 2026 (Saturday) in multiple sessions depending on the programme. Admit cards will be available online from April 30, 2026.

For the ICD Programme (SET-I), the examination will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, while SET-III, SET-IV, SET-VI, and SET-VII exams will be conducted from 2:30 PM to 4:00/4:30 PM as applicable. The PhD (SET-V) entrance examination will be conducted on August 6, 2026, in pen-and-paper mode at SLIET Longowal only.

The result for most SET programmes will be declared on May 18, 2026, followed by online choice filling and multi-round seat allotment. Counselling will be conducted in multiple rounds, including Round I, II, III, and a Special Round for vacant seats. Selected candidates must pay a token seat acceptance fee of ₹5,000, which will be adjusted against the institute fee.

Reporting and document verification for selected candidates is scheduled in July 2026, and classes for most programmes are expected to commence from July 16 or August 18, 2026, depending on the course.

The application fee is ₹1750 for General category boys and ₹1250 for girls, while SC/ST candidates need to pay ₹1000. For the ICD programme, the fee is lower - ₹1000 for General boys, ₹750 for General girls, and ₹750 for SC/ST candidates.
