Robo Yatra: Explored the Intersection of Humans and Robots

New Delhi: On January 31st, 2023, at the FET Campus, under the sponsorship of The Turing Club (TTC), the School of Computer Science and Engineering, JAIN (Deemed to be University), in collaboration with HOLOWORLD, the Skill MetaVerse that combines humans and robots together, organized an interactive campaign called the ‘Robo Yatra’.

This one-day session was organised to provide students a firsthand look at the most cutting-edge robotics and AR/VR technology. The event started with an exhilarating demonstration of HOLOWORLD's flagship product, the "HoloSuit," a motion-capture wearable that enables users to experience virtual and augmented reality in a natural way.

Following the workshop's introduction by Sanjana, the TTC student coordinator, distinguished guests Dr. Geetha Ganesan, the director, Dr. Merin Thomas, the programme head of CSE-AIML, and Mr. Srinidhi and Ms. Anamika from Miles Education honored members of the HOLOWORLD team.

A real display of a humanoid robot gave the attendees the chance to study the fundamentals of robotics. The Chief Research Officer, Dr. Kasar, engaged the students in a discussion on metaverses and gave a live demonstration of the HOLOWORLD robot's features and functions.

The usage of augmented reality, virtual reality, robotics, artificial intelligence, and 5G for its robots is what distinguishes HOLOWORLD from other theme parks. Students from all semesters and IT fields were drawn to the workshop to give them a chance for learning and interaction with the HOLOWORLD team.

Both the students and the teachers of the School of Computer Science and Engineering learned a lot from it. Students exited the class with a fresh appreciation of the virtually limitless potential that robots and AR/VR contain.

The School of Computer Science and Engineering, JAIN (Deemed to be University), at the FET Campus seeks to forge strong partnerships with businesses through such projects in order to close the knowledge gap between academic theory and real-world application for students.
