Pune University Urges Affiliated Colleges to Set Up Skill Development Centers

New Delhi: In a recent development towards preparing college students for the professional world, the Director of Skill Development Centre at Pune University (SPPU) has requested all affiliated colleges to set up Skill Development Centers within their premises. 

Inspired by the vision of Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Maharashtra's Minister of Tourism and Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, this initiative aims to enhance college students' employability by integrating academic education with practical business skills.

The proposed Skill Development Centers strive to offer students a comprehensive learning experience, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications.

As part of the broader vision of the Maharashtra State's Skill Development, Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation Department, the goal is to establish Skill Development Centers in 100 colleges nationwide. 

This ambitious initiative demonstrates a commitment to preparing college youth for the challenges and opportunities the evolving job market presents.

The principals of affiliated colleges of SPPU are encouraged to actively engage in this initiative by submitting applications for establishing Skill Development Centers.
