Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar is inviting online applications for Ph.D. admission. The online application form was released on October 1, 2024, and the process is going on. The last date for the submission of application form is October 10, 2024. Admission in Ph.D is taken through an entrance test which will be conducted on October 22, 2024. Candidates are welcomed to the official website i.e. gcas.gujgov.edu.in to register for Ph.D. admission. They can also register for the same using the direct link provided below.

Eligibility for Ph.D. Admission
- Applicants seeking admission to Ph.D shall be required to have a minimum of 55% (SC/ST/OBC candidate will get 5% relaxation), score under any evaluation system at the Master’s level in the subject concerned.
- Candidates having UGC-NET/UGC-JRF/CSIR-NET/CSIR-JRF/NET-L/NET-PhD/JEST(SERB)/ICAR for PhD/ DBT/ GSLET/ GPAT for PhD/INSPIRE/Teacher Fellowship for PhD/ SPU-PET are exempted from the Entrance Test and need to fill up under concern competitive Exam Category.
- M.Phil Pass students are required to pass the entrance test.
How to apply for a Ph.D. Program?
Follow the instructions below to apply for the Ph.D program.
- To apply for the Ph.D. admission candidates need to visit the official website i.e. gcas.gujgov.edu.in.
- Click on the ‘Apply Now’ option on the home page.
- It will redirect candidates to the registration page.
- New candidates need to register by clicking on the ‘Register’ option.
- Registered candidates can directly log in with their login credentials.
- Fill out the application form carefully and upload all the required documents.
- After the payment of fees click on the ‘Submit’ option and save the confirmation page.
Application Fee for Ph.D. Admission
The Application Processing Fee must be paid in Online Mode at GCAS Poprtal and the Entrance Test Candidate must pay a fee in Offline Mode at Sardar Patel University Accounts Section. The Application and Entrance test fees will not be refunded under any circumstances.

The applicant is required to upload the necessary documents along with the application form. The required documents are listed below.
- Marksheets of 10th, 12th
- Leaving Certificate
- All Semester/Year Marksheets of Undergraduate/Post Graduate
- M.Phil Marksheet
- All Degree Certificates
- Cast certificate
- Non Creamy Layer Certificate (Valid for this year)
- PH Medical Certificate (if applicable)
Documents verification is one of the most crucial steps in the application process and without it no application will be granted. Therefore, candidates must be careful while uploading all the required documents.
