Mahindra University and La Trobe University have signed an agreement to offer a joint degree in BTech Civil Engineering. Under this initiative, students will be eligible for scholarships worth 10,000 Australian dollars and a post-study work permit
New Delhi: Mahindra University has joined hands with La Trobe University, Melbourne, in Australia to offer a joint BTech degree program in Civil Engineering. Under this initiative, candidates can complete the last two years of their UG program at La Trobe University.
As per Mahindra University, students will be offered a scholarship program worth 10,000 Australian dollars offered by LaTrobe University under this collaboration. In addition to this, after completing the program at the university campus in Australia, participants will get a post-study work permit.
The curriculum of the joint BTech program will be developed by both universities with the aim to offer students exposure to an international academic framework. Candidates can check the joint BTech degree program details on the official website at mahindrauniversity.edu.in.
The Bachelor of Civil Engineering (honors) is accredited by Engineers Australia (EA). The Civil Department of La Trobe University, which focuses on infrastructure projects, including machine learning for structural engineering, water, transportation, construction materials, etc will offer this program.
Informing about this initiative, Yajulu Medury, Vice Chancellor of Mahindra University said: "The collaboration between both the universities signifies our commitment to providing world-class education and global exposure to our students”.
“We believe that this initiative will equip our students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their careers on a global scale. The agreement stands as a testament to their dedication to fostering international collaborations and promoting excellence in education”, he further added.
