Karnataka PGCET 2026 Exam Format Overview

Karnataka PGCET 2026 is a 100-mark multiple-choice question (MCQ) examination conducted in pen-and-paper format. The exam duration is 120 minutes with no negative marking for incorrect answers. MBA and MCA papers contain five sections: Computer Awareness, English Language, General Knowledge, Reasoning, and Quantitative Ability.

KEA will announce the PGCET 2026 results within 2-3 weeks after the exam concludes. Candidates can download their score cards from the official website using their application number and date of birth. Participating universities will conduct counselling based on PGCET scores and merit lists.

What’s Next for Students

The postponement provides candidates with an additional 3-week preparation window. Focus on practicing previous years' question papers and mock tests. Strengthen weak areas in reasoning and quantitative ability sections. Time management during practice tests is crucial for success in the 120-minute examination.

KEA's decision to postpone the MBA/MCA exam to June 14 resolves the conflict with UPSC CSE Prelims, benefiting dual-exam aspirants. Candidates appearing for MTech should prepare for the May 23 exam as scheduled. Download your admit card from cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/pgcet2026 when released and verify all details carefully before exam day.
