Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has postponed the PGCET MBA and MCA exam from May 24 to June 14, 2026, due to a clash with UPSC CSE Prelims. The MTech exam remains scheduled for May 23, 2026, with no changes.

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has revised the PGCET 2026 exam schedule. The MBA and MCA exam, originally scheduled for May 24, will now be conducted on June 14, 2026. KEA announced this change on its official X handle on May 14, 2026.
The postponement addresses a direct clash with UPSC CSE Prelims scheduled for May 24, 2026. Multiple candidates had requested KEA to reschedule the exam as they had applied for both competitive exams. This additional preparation time will benefit candidates appearing for both examinations.

Karnataka PGCET 2026 Exam Format Overview
Karnataka PGCET 2026 is a 100-mark multiple-choice question (MCQ) examination conducted in pen-and-paper format. The exam duration is 120 minutes with no negative marking for incorrect answers. MBA and MCA papers contain five sections: Computer Awareness, English Language, General Knowledge, Reasoning, and Quantitative Ability.
KEA will announce the PGCET 2026 results within 2-3 weeks after the exam concludes. Candidates can download their score cards from the official website using their application number and date of birth. Participating universities will conduct counselling based on PGCET scores and merit lists.
What’s Next for Students
The postponement provides candidates with an additional 3-week preparation window. Focus on practicing previous years' question papers and mock tests. Strengthen weak areas in reasoning and quantitative ability sections. Time management during practice tests is crucial for success in the 120-minute examination.
KEA's decision to postpone the MBA/MCA exam to June 14 resolves the conflict with UPSC CSE Prelims, benefiting dual-exam aspirants. Candidates appearing for MTech should prepare for the May 23 exam as scheduled. Download your admit card from cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/pgcet2026 when released and verify all details carefully before exam day.
