New Delhi: S Ramya, Executive Director of KEA has confirmed that the KEA will conduct the Karnataka PGCET 2024 online as a computer-based test from centres. The exam will now change from an OMR-based PGCET exam to an online CBT exam.
KEA will soon release a notification to inform candidates about PGCET dates and the transition to the CBT method. The notice will be released soon on the official website of KEA at kea.kar.nic.in along with Karnataka PGCET 2024 Notification.
KEA administers the PGCET exam for admission to PG professional courses in Karnataka, including MBA, MCA, and MTech programs. Candidates with a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline are eligible to apply for the Karnataka PGCET 2024.

“Compared to CET for UG courses, the number of students taking DCET and PGCET is lower. Though nearly 50,000 students apply for PGCET, the number of students applying for PG courses in each subject is far lower. So we have decided to conduct both these tests online,” said S. Ramya, Executive Director, KEA.
“Presently, the seating capacity and the potential of the system for conducting online exams in the State is around 15,000. If we improve this by adding 5,000 more computers, we can hold simultaneous online exams for 20,000 students. Online exam centres will soon be opened in every district. We will soon start an awareness campaign among students about online exams,” she said.
