Jain University PhD Admission 2025 Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s Degree with minimum 55% of marks in the relevant or related subjects.
- CA or ACS or ICWA with a basic degree.
- 1-year master's degree after a 4-year bachelor’s degree or a 2-year master’s degree after a 3-year bachelor’s degree with at least 55% marks.
- A relaxation of 5% marks will be given for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/Differently-abled.
- A 4-year bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 75% marks (70% marks for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/Differently-abled).
- M.Phil. programme with at least 55% marks in aggregate (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/Differently-abled).
Jain University PhD Admission 2025 Selection Process
- PhD Entrance Test and Interview. Candidates with valid scores in UGC-NET/UGC - CSIR (JRF) NET/SLET/GATE are exempted from the entrance test and can appear directly for the interview.
- The Interview will be based on the proposal/synopsis submitted by the candidates at the time of applying. The theoretical, conceptual knowledge and critical thinking skills will be assessed.
Jain University PhD Admission 2025 Entrance Test Pattern
- General Research Aptitude: Current affairs, general awareness, quantitative ability, test of reasoning, vocabulary and English skills.
- Subject-specific: Candidates have to appear for their applied PhD subject.
- Both the parts will carry 50 marks each: MCQs (30 Marks) and Descriptive Questions (20 Marks).
- Minimum 50% marks are required with Part A and B together to qualify for the Interview.
Candidates have to pay the application fee of INR 1,500. The PhD programme at Jain University will be for a minimum duration of 3 years, including course work and a maximum of 6 years from the date of admission.
