IIT Dharwad M.Tech & M.Tech (Research) Admission 2026

The IIT Dharwad will begin the M.Tech and M.Tech (Research) admission process for the Autumn 2026–27 session from March 25, 2026. Interested candidates will be able to submit their applications online through the official website. The last date to apply for both programmes is April 26, 2026.

According to the official admission schedule released by the institute, candidates applying for M.Tech (Research) programmes will undergo a multi-stage selection process, including shortlisting and interviews conducted by respective departments. The eligibility shortlist and interview timeline for Round 1 and Round 2 will be announced between May 15 and June 22, 2026, on the institute’s website.

The tentative result declaration for M.Tech (Research) admission is scheduled between June 15 and July 3, 2026. Selected candidates will be required to report to the campus for document verification and admission formalities between July 27 and July 28, 2026.

For M.Tech admissions, the institute has stated that the admission timeline will follow the schedule released under the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP). Candidates must register on the COAP website and obtain their COAP registration number before submitting the application for IIT Dharwad.

After the completion of the admission process, newly admitted students will participate in general orientation on July 29, 2026, followed by departmental interaction and online course registration on July 30, 2026. The academic session for Autumn 2026–27 will commence on August 3, 2026.
