The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) has released the official PhD fee structure for the academic year 2026. As per the institute’s latest notification, candidates admitted to the PhD programme from the 2026 session will be required to pay a total of ₹42,200 at the time of admission, which includes one-time fees, semester fees, and hostel charges.

The one-time fee payable during admission amounts to ₹10,000, which includes ₹500 as admission fee, ₹1,000 for campus development, ₹5,000 as refundable institute and library deposit, ₹500 alumni fee, ₹2,000 convocation cum degree fee, and ₹1,000 thesis/seminar fee.

The semester fee totals ₹7,450, covering ₹2,500 for tuition, ₹750 for computer use, ₹250 for internet, ₹1,000 for library, ₹500 for examinations, ₹200 for registration and enrollment, ₹250 for sports facilitation, and ₹2,000 for medical and insurance.
