The International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT Bangalore) has signed an agreement with SAP Labs India for continuous upskilling of the former’s employees.

New Delhi: The International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIIT Bangalore) and SAP Labs India have entered into a strategic partnership for continuous upskilling of the former’s employees. The collaboration also focuses on strengthening the bilateral knowledge exchange between academia and industry.

According to the agreement, IIIT Bangalore and SAP will jointly research important topics and challenges which will help in continuing upskilling on niche technology topics.

“SAP Labs India along with IIIT-B helps in advancing employees’ competencies in artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) through executive programs,” it added.

Mentioning the role of continuous upskilling in digital technologies, Debabrata Das, director of IIIT Banglore said that the institute was playing an important role in advancing aspirants in achieving a $1 trillion digital economy by 2026.

SAP Labs in India has partnered with various institutions, such as IIIT-Bangalore, PSG Institute of Technology, and others, to narrow the industry-academia divide. This collaboration aims to equip the technology workforce with future-ready skills, fostering innovation, ensuring business efficiency, and delivering delightful customer experiences.

IIIT-B is an NAAC A+ accredited institute that has excellent teaching and research facilities in information technology, including computer science and engineering, electronics and communication, and digital technologies.
