HP PAT, LEET 2026 Exam Dates Announced; Tests Scheduled on May 17 & 24

The Himachal Pradesh Board of Technical Education (HP BoTE) has officially announced the HP PAT 2026 and HP LEET 2026 exam dates for candidates seeking admission to diploma programmes.

The entrance tests will be conducted for admission into first and third semester polytechnic courses offered by government and private institutes across Himachal Pradesh. As per the notification, HP PAT 2026 and HP LEET 2026 will be held on different dates in May. The application process is expected to begin in the coming months.

According to the official announcement, the board will conduct the entrance exams on the following dates:

• HP PAT 2026 exam date: May 17, 2026
• HP LEET 2026 exam date: May 24, 2026

The exams are conducted for admissions into AICTE-approved polytechnic institutes in the state. Candidates qualifying PAT will be eligible for first semester admission, while LEET qualifiers can apply for lateral entry into the third semester.

The board has also confirmed the exam timings for both entrance tests:

• HP PAT 2026 timing: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
• HP LEET 2026 timing: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Candidates are advised to reach their exam centres well before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card.

The HP PAT 2026 application form is expected to be released in March 2026, while the HP LEET 2026 registration is likely to begin in April 2026. Eligible candidates will be able to apply online through the board’s official website once registrations open.

Candidates applying for HP PAT must meet the following conditions:

• Must have passed Class 10 with at least 35% marks or be appearing in the final examination
• Admission is subject to document verification during physical reporting
• Applicants must be domiciles of Himachal Pradesh

HP PAT is conducted annually for admission to polytechnic institutes affiliated with HP BoTE, including institutes approved by AICTE and NCVT-recognised ITIs.

After the declaration of results, qualified candidates will be called for the HP polytechnic counselling process, where seats will be allotted based on rank, availability, and preferences. Candidates will need to carry essential documents such as mark sheets, domicile certificate, and entrance exam scorecard at the time of counselling.
