GIPE Admission Dates

The Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics has made public that admission to various UG, PG, and PGPFE programs will start on the university’s admission portal from January 15, 2025. To be eligible for admission, candidates must pass the "CUET" conducted by the National Test Agency. The deadline to apply for CUET PG is February 1, 2025. CUET UG dates have not yet been made public by the National Test Agency (NTA).

GIPE UG, PG, and PGPFE Programs Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must be eligible as per the below-mentioned criteria to apply for the Gokhale Institute Of Politics And Economics undergraduate, postgraduate, and PGPFE courses

PG Programs (A)
  • Candidates who took the final degree exams between 2024 and 2025 and have yet to get their results are also eligible to apply. Admission to such candidates will be "provisional" until they present the required documentation.
  • CUET-PG – 2025
M.A. (Economics)
  • At least 50% overall (45% for SC/ST reserved category candidates) at graduation level.
  • Candidates who took the final degree exams in 2024-2025 and are awaiting their results are also eligible to apply.
  • Admission to such candidates will be "provisional" until they present the required documentation.
  • CUET-PG – 2025
U.G. Program
  • At least 60% on their 12th grade board exam or equivalent, with 50% for students in the SC/ST category.
  • Candidates who took the HSC/CBSE/ICSE or similar exams in 2024-25 and have yet to get their results are also eligible to apply.
  • Admission to such candidates will be "provisional" until they present the required documentation.
  • CUET-UG – 2025
PGPFE Program A graduate degree in any area or stream, with statistics as one of the courses.
