West Bengal ITI Admission 2025 is conducted by the West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development (WBSCVT). It is a state-level counselling process conducted yearly to offer admission to M and E group courses of ITIs of the state. The WB ITI Admission is based on merit. There is no separate entrance exam to offer West Bengal ITI Admission 2025.
West Bengal ITI Admission is offered to candidates who wish to pursue various trades affiliated with the NCVET under the Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS).
WB ITI offers courses for those students who want to get employed right after school. It consists of ITI Courses covering industrial work and small-scale businesses. In group E, candidates can get admission based on the marks obtained in class 8 while in group M candidates get admission based on marks obtained in the class 10 exam.

WB ITI Admission 2025: Eligibility Criteria
The WBSCVT has divided the ITI courses into two groups:
- Group “M” trades
- Group “E” trades
The eligibility criteria for West Bengal’s Industrial Training Institutes are as follows:
- The candidate should not be less than 14 years of age.
- There is no upper age limit for applying to these courses.
- Candidates aspiring for admission to these courses should have passed 8th/10th from a state-recognized school. (Students from other states aren’t eligible.)
- For ITI group “M” trades, the candidate must have passed Class 10 with a minimum of 35%.
- For ITI group “E” trades, the candidate must have passed Class 08.

West Bengal ITI Application Form 2025
WB ITI Admission can be done through an online mode.
- Candidates must fill in the application forms carefully, with all the proper details.
- The application fee has to be paid. For males, the fee is INR 200 and for females, it is INR 100.
- Candidates must take a printout of the application form.

WB ITI Admission 2025: Merit List
- The West Bengal ITI 2025 merit list will be published on the official website of the West Bengal State Council for Vocational Training (WBSCVT), Kolkata.
- The first merit list for WB ITI Admission 2025 was released on June 16, 2025.
- Candidates can check their results by entering their roll number and password. Candidates must check all the details carefully. Candidates are advised to keep the result safe till the other admission procedure.

Candidates can check their West Bengal ITI merit list for admission by following the steps mentioned below:
- Candidates should visit the official website of the council.
- After that, they should click on the ITI option.
- They should search the relevant merit list options (group E and group M) on the official website.
- They should look for their name and other information on the list.
- Candidates can also download the merit list for further reference.
- Merit list generally contains Name of the candidates (probably in the order of merit), Registration no, roll number (for group E), Gender, Father’s Name, Date of birth, Category, Marks obtained (for Group E), Total marks percentage, Rank and other relevant information
WB ITI Admission 2025: Counselling
- The West Bengal ITI counselling will include various steps like choice filling and seat allotment process. These will take place after the merit list has been released, through online mode.
- Candidates whose names will be on the merit lists will have to undergo the counselling process. On the official website, the candidates will have to choose any number of colleges and trades as choices.
- The seat allotment for admission is based on the candidate’s merit rank and choices/colleges. Once the seat allotment result is released, candidates can download the seat allotment letter and report to the college within the specified date.

- 50% of total seats are reserved for District Quota – Candidates who pass the entry qualification from the schools located within the same district as the ITI.
- 30% of seats are reserved for Women whereas 22% and 6% of seats are reserved for Sc and ST respectively.
- 5% of seats are also reserved for OBC and 3% of seats for PwD.
