MAT 2022 IBT mode guidelines have been released by the All India Management Association (AIMA). MAT Remote Proctored Internet-Based Test (IBT) Mode is the most convenient mode of taking the exam in the COVID-19 pandemic situation. MAT IBT provides candidates with the benefit to take the test from the confines of their homes.
- MAT 2022 IBT February session dates have been released and the exam will take place on 5 dates from Feb 27 to March 13, 2022. Check MAT 2022 Exam Dates
- The application process for the IBT mode has started on January 20, 2022. Candidates can apply for MAT 2022 IBT mode till March 10, 2022, as per the exam date. Check MAT 2022 Application Form

Operating System Requirements to take MAT IBT Mode
To take MAT in the IBT mode, you must have an operating system of Windows 7 or above because MSB will work only on these requirements.
System Assessment Requirement for MAT IBT Mode
To take online exams a secure system browser is required. Mettl Secure Browser (MSB)is a web browser that will let you take online exams safely. The candidates will have to install the Safe Exam Browser.exe file in their systems which would install all the necessary packages. To take MAT IBT, AIMA has advised candidates to install the MSB - Mettl Secure Browser.
MSB operating system requirement is Windows 7 and above and a dot NET framework. The minimum supported version is the 4.5.1 NET framework.
What is the DOT NET Framework for MAT?
- Dot NET is a developer platform that consists of programming languages, tools, and libraries for building many types of applications.
- There are several implementations of dot NET. Dot NET Framework is the original implementation of dot NET. It provides running support to websites, desktop apps, services, and more on Windows.
- To take MAT IBT, you will need the Dot NET Framework. This will let you install and use Mettl Secure Browser (MSB) so that you can take your test securely. The minimum version supported version of dot NET Framework for MAT IBT is 4.5.1 NET.
To take MAT IBT, you will require a minimum internet bandwidth of 512 kbps and a Chrome browser version of 63 and above/Mozilla browser version of 52 and above. You will need an operating system of Windows 7 or above to be able to install the Mettle Secure Browser (MSB) that will help you secure the test-taking process.

Memory requirement: It needs 65 MB of permanent free space on the default hard drive.
Note: MSB is not available on any browser other than Windows 7 and above.
Step-wise Guide to Take MAT 2022 IBT Mode
Launch the Test
- Visit the official website for MAT 2022 exam.
- Click on the ‘Launch Test’ tab and a new test window will open.
Installation of MSB
- Candidates will be asked to install MSB if it is not there on the system. Candidates who already have MSB on their system are required to skip this step.
- Click on the ‘Download MSB’ tab and the file will be downloaded.
- Open the MSB Installation File and complete the installation process.
Start MAT 2021 IBT Mode
- Click on the ‘Proceed to Test’ tab on the MSB browser.
- Click on the ‘Launch Test’ tab.
- A pop-up screen will open prompting you to close any open unrequired applications before proceeding further. Clicking on OK will automatically close all open applications.
- Provide access permissions for microphone and camera.
- Fill in all the necessary details like name, gender, DOB, contact details, etc. on the next window.
Submit Required Snapshots
- Submit snapshots of face and ID proof as directed.
- The final authorization will take 1-2 minutes before MAT IBT 2022 begins.
- Candidates will be required to submit the snapshots again if they are found to be unclear.
MAT 2021 Exam Begins
- Before the beginning of the test, candidates will be shown a warning that the exam will be monitored remotely and hence you should not resort to any unfair means.
