CMAT Percentile Calculator: CMAT stands for the Common Management Admission Test which is a national-level entrance examination that allows students to get admission to management programmes in the country. Percentile Calculator refers to an online tool that accurately determines the percentile of a specific value in a provided data set.
In CMAT, percentile plays a vital role as based on it students can be admitted to MBA colleges. The percentile of a candidate indicates the percentage of candidates that have scored lower than that particular candidate. CMAT percentile is a calculation that is based on the rank of the students vs the number of students appearing in the exam. Percentile can be calculated using the formula: P (Percentile)= n (number of data points below the data point of interest) /N (total number of data points in the data set) *100%.
How to Calculate the CMAT Percentile?
NTA has prescribed a unique formula to calculate the CMAT percentile. The formula is mentioned below.
Percentile = 100* Number of candidates who appeared in the exam with raw marks equal to or less than the candidate/Total number of candidates who appeared in the exam.
For instance, suppose 20000 candidates appeared in the CMAT exam. Candidate X has ranked 1 in the exam then his percentile will be 19999/20000*100= 99.995.
