Factors Affecting CMAT Cut off
Here are the factors that may affect the overall CMAT cut off:
- The difficulty level of the paper
- The number of vacant seats: Several Colleges accept scores of CMAT as the admission criteria, and the number of vacant seats varies with the college. The reservation of seats per category are 15%, 7.5%, 27%, and 10% for SC, ST, OBC(NCL), and EWS respectively.
- The number of applicants appearing for CMAT 2024:The official figures of registered candidates is going to be released by NTA after the completion of the exam.

Ques. What are the courses offered through CMAT?
Ans. The courses offered through CMAT include MBA, PGDM, and Executive PGDM in various disciplines. The eligibility for each course varies, and the cut offs may also vary as per the demand for the college and the course.
Ques. How is the CMAT Score calculated?
Ans. To calculate CMAT score, you have to add 4 marks for each correct answer, and for each wrong answer deduct 1 mark. Do not add or subtract anything or unattempted questions. If you are keen enough, you may attempt to calculate your marks beforehand so as to know what to expect when the actual cut offs are released.
Ques. How is the percentile calculated for CMAT result?
Ans. The percentile rank is the percentage of scores in the distribution of marks that are equal to or lower than it. They are calculated using the following formula:
100 x Number of candidates with a score equal to or less than the candidate/ Total number of candidates
Ques. How is CMAT Rank Assigned?
Ans. The ranks are assigned on the basis of the marks scored by the candidate. If two candidates have the same score, the rank is decided on the basis of the sectional scores.
Ques. Which organization releases CMAT 2024 cut offs?
Ans. Each college releases its own cut offs based on the scores obtained by the candidates. NTA does not release a consolidated cut off list for admission to MBA/ PGDM programs through CMAT.
