CMAT Result Date: Previous Years Trends

As per the previous years’ CMAT Result dates analysis, the results are usually declared within 7-27 days after the exam, with most years estimated around a 20-22-day window.

From 2022- 2025, the NTA has followed a similar and stable pattern, releasing the results roughly around 3 weeks after the exam, and in 2024 and 2025, the results were declared in 22 days.

So it is expected that the CMAT 2026 Results will also be released within 20 days, which is around 13-15 Feb 2026.

As per the previous years' trends of the CMAT Result from 2025-2019 shows a consistently moderate difficulty level with a high success rate of around 80-90%.

The registrations have stayed between 65,000 and 75,000, with about 10-15% absenteeism every year.

The number of 100 percentilers remains very limited, around 6-11, showing a strict normalization.

After the release of the CMAT 2026 scorecard, the next step is to apply for the institutions accpetion CMAT scorecard for admissions.

Depending on your career goals and score, you should target different institutions.

Top-Tier colleges like-

  • JBIMS Mumbai, will accept a percentile around 99.9 percentile
  • PUMBA Pune, will have an expected cutoff of around 99.5 percentile
  • KJ Somaiya Mumbai, Altera Gurgaon, will have an expected cutoff of around 99 percentile

Mid-Tier colleges like-

  • Wlingkar will accept a percentileof around 90
  • IMT Nagpur, will accept a percentile of around 90-95

Some newer Business Schools will accept a lower percentile to around 80-85.

Shortlisting for GD and PI

After the result, the institutes shortlist candidates based on multiple factors, including their CMAT percentile, academic background, work experience and extracurricular activities.

  • After the GD and PI, the institutions release their final selection list.
  • If you are selected for the program offered, then you will receive a call letter with further instructions on fee payment, document verification and other admission related process.
  • After getting the call letter, you will be called for counselling and document verification process, only after clearing this stage, your admission will be finalised.
