The NTA has also opened the window to challenge the CMAT 2026 Answer Key till 2nd Feb 2026.

CMAT 2026 Answer Key & Response Sheet
The CMAT 2026 Answer Key is the official document released by NTA indicating the correct answers for all questions. It helps the students to calculate their raw scores by comparing the answer key to their responses.
- The Provisional answer key is released first and is open to challenge by the students if they feel that the answers in the key are incorrect.
- The Final Answer Key is released after the resolution of all objections made on the provisional answer key. This answer key is final and is used for calculating the marks for final result.
The Response Sheet is also released by NTA along with the provisional answer key. This document contains the responses recorded by each student at the time of examination.

Students can download the CMAT 2026 Answer key after its release from the Official NTA-CMAT 2026 Website.

Procedure for Challenge of Answer Key
Students can file their objections of the Answer Key on the Official NTA-CMAT 2026 website. The following steps are required to be followed:
- Visit the official website- https://cmat.nta.nic.in/
- Use your application number and date of birth (password) and enter the security pin to login.
- Click “View/Challenge Answer Key” button.
- In the answer key, the correct answer is indicated against the question ID, if you wish to challenge it, click on the check box provided.
- If you have any supporting documents, upload it in a single pdf file by clicking “choose file” button.
- After selecting your desired answer, scroll down and click on “Submit and Review Claims”.
- You will see a display of all the questions you have challenged.
- To modify your selections, click “Modify Claim” button.
- After confirming your claims, click “Save Claim and Pay Fee” button.
- No modifications will be allowed after the fee payment.
- Select the mode of payment and pay a non-refundable fee of INR 200 per question.
The Final answer key of CMAT 2025 contained 7 questions with multiple answers, students with any of the mentioned correct answers were awarded full marks for those questions.
NTA Guidelines for Challenging the Provisional Answer Key
The NTA has released certain guidelines to be followed by the students to raise objections on the provisional answer key.
- Candidates have to pay a non-refundable processing charge of INR 200 per question.
- Only paid challenges will be entertained by NTA, made within the time limit and only through the official challenge link.
- Challenges made without justification or evidence will not be entertained.
- The objections will be examined by the subject matter experts.
- The decision of NTA on the challenges will be final, and no further communication will be entertained.
- The result will be declared based on the final answer key released by the NTA.
Calculation of the CMAT 2026 Raw Score
To calculate your raw score based on the response sheet and answer key comparison, you have to follow the CMAT marking scheme mentioned in the official information brochure.
There are 5 sections of 20 questions each, with each question carrying 4 marks, and a negative of 1 mark for every wrong answer.
- For every correct answer, add 4 marks
- For every incorrect answer, subtract 1 mark
- Unattempted questions award no marks.
- Follow this scheme to get your total raw marks.
For the questions with multiple correct answers in the answer key, only those candidates will get 4 marks who have selected any of the correct answers.
Full marks will be awarded to every candidate for dropped questions.

Ans. Yes, 250 marks is considered a good score in CMAT 2026. It will get you around 95 percentile and can get you ranked approximately between 3250-3500 AIR.
