CEED 2025 Registration Dates Extended, Check Dates, Exam Pattern, Eligibility, Syllabus and More

CEED 2025: IIT Bomabay has realesed the CEED 2025 Exam Schedule. The conducting authority will conduct the CEED 2025 exams from 9 am to 12 noon today, January 19, 2025. The CEED registration 2025 has already started from i.e October 1, 2024. Candidates had registered till October 31, 2024 without late fee. With Late fee candidate can register till November 18, 2024.

There are currently Five participating institutes of CEED 2024. The five participating institutes are - IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIT Jabalpur. Keep reading for a detailed exam analysis, covering difficulty level, expected cut-off, question weightage, specific questions, and more.

What is CEED Exam? CEED is a national-level entrance examination conducted by IIT Bombay on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India to offer admission to M.Des and Ph.D. programs in design at renowned institutes like IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Hyderabad, and many more. Admissions to postgraduate design courses is offered based on CEED 2025 scores and interviews.

CEED 2025 will be conducted both online and offline. Part A of CEED 2025 exam is conducted as a computer-based format, whereas Part B is conducted offline. Notably, Part B answer booklets are only assessed upon qualification in Part A.

• CEED 2025 Part A exam duration is one hour and encompass sections on NAT, MSQ, and MCQ.
• In contrast, Part B exam duration is 2 hours and involves two questions: one on Drawing and the other on Design aptitude. Check CEED 2025 exam pattern

The final CEED 2025 scores are calculated based on 25% weightage to Part A and 75% weightage to Part B. Candidates must note that, CEED 2025 scores for Part A are released for all candidates however, Part B results are displayed only for shortlisted candidates. Meanwhile, CEED ranks are assigned to all shortlisted candidates.

CEED 2025 Eligibility Criteria

There are certain conditions that a candidate has to fulfill before filling the application form. CEED 2025 Eligibility Criteria lays out various academic and age limit conditions as given below. 

• Age limit: No age limit
• Number of attempts: No restriction on the number of attempts
• Accepted degree types: Any recognized 4-year or 3+2 years (after 10+2 level) or 3-year degree/diploma/postgraduate degree program after 10+2
• Final year students: Final year candidates or those awaiting results can apply, provided they show proof of eligibility during admissions
• GD Arts diploma program (10+5 level): Candidates passing the program by July 2024 are eligible

Note: Eligibility for securing minimum marks may be different as per the institutions. Please check it on the website of the concerned institution before the selection of the institution.

CEED 2025 Application Form

CEED 2025 Application Forms have been released in online mode. CEED 2025 Application Form will be available on the official website – CEED.iitb.ac.in/2025/.

Prerequisites for CEED 2025 Registration 

1. Recent Photograph: After scanning and saving it in .jpg file format
2. Scanned copy of Signature in .jpg file format
3. Scanned copy of Academic Records / Certificates
4. Certificate of Category Sc / St / OBC NCL: Scan and save it in .pdf file format. Certificate for OBC NCL will be accepted if issued after April 1, 2019.
5. The candidate whose name is not the same as the name on the degree/diploma certificate should produce a gazette notification, marriage certificate, or scanned page of passport showing the change of name (.pdf format).
6. Bank Account Information / Credit Card / Debit Card

How to Apply for CEED 2025?

Downloading and submission of CEED 2025 Application Form is a very simple task and can be performed perfectly remembering some facts about pre-arrangement of all documents required to be uploaded with the application form for CEED 2025.

Step 1- RegistrationbVisit the Official Website of CEED 2025 to register

1. Enter a valid e-mail ID and mobile number.
2. Verify the e-mail ID and save the password received on the mobile number

Step 2- Form Filling and Uploading Documents

1. Log in using the E-mail ID and Password received.
2. Enter the personal, academic and communication details in CEED 2025 Application form
3. Choose and mention 3 CEED 2025 Exam Centers.
4. Upload the photograph, signature, and required certificates.
5. Review and click on ‘Pay fee and Submit’.

Step 3- Fee Payment

1. Post clicking on Pay Fee and Submit, you are redirected to the Bill desk for the payment process.
2. Enter the account number in case of Internet Banking, Card number and CVV number for Debit Card and Card number and PIN for Credit Card users.
3. Verify and click on Pay to complete the payment process.

CEED 2025 Application Fee

CEED 2025 Exam Pattern

CEED 2025 Exam Pattern includes two parts, A & B and the total duration of the examination is 3 hours. Candidates who clear Part A will be eligible to appear for Part B of the exam. The duration of Part A is 1 hour. The duration of Part B is 2 hours. Part B will start only after Part A ends. 

• Marks obtained in Part A will be used to shortlist candidates. 
• Part B answer books will be evaluated manually for the candidates who are shortlisted from Part A. In Part B, there will be 5 questions for a total of 100 marks. There will not be any optional questions.
• Part A is an online test that contains multiple-choice questions that will include design aptitude questions for evaluating a candidate’s Visualisation and Spatial Ability, Observation and Design Sensitivity, Environmental and Social Awareness, etc. 
• In Part B, questions are displayed on the computer screen and answers are to be written on an answer sheet. Questions in Part B are aimed at testing design, drawing, and writing skills.

The final CEED score will be calculated by giving 25% weightage to marks obtained in Part A and 75% weightage to marks obtained in Part B. 

CEED 2025 Syllabus

There is no specific prescribed CEED Syllabus. Candidates can refer to the previous year trends to understand the type of questions asked. Candidates must prepare according to CEED 2025 Syllabus, gaining extensive knowledge about each of the topics. IIT Bombay has revised CEED 2025 syllabus PDF. The older syllabus for CEED exam weighed visual-spatial components more, however, the latest revised syllabus balances it with analytical and scientific concepts.

CEED 2025 Syllabus: Part A

1. Visualization and Spatial Ability: Pictorial and diagrammatic questions assessing understanding of transforming and manipulating 2D shapes, 3D objects, and spatial relationships.
2. Observation and Design Sensitivity: Detecting hidden properties in everyday life, promoting critical thinking. Recognizing subtle visual distinctions and aesthetic outcomes.
3. Environmental and Social Awareness: Grasping environmental impact on design: climate, population, water, pollution. Familiarity with design terminology, cultural significance, historical context, and responsible, eco-conscious design. Knowledge of art, sculpture, and literary history.
4. Analytical and Logical Reasoning: Proficiency in logical analysis and solution selection. Evaluating opinions, arguments based on pertinent criteria. Applying structured thinking to deduce precise responses from provided passages.
5. Language and Creativity: Proficiency in comprehending English passages. Cultivating creative thinking, differentiating innovative alternatives, and thinking beyond conventional boundaries.
6. Design Thinking and Problem Solving: Understanding context, user requirements, and limitations. Optimal selection of solutions for specified design challenges.

CEED 2025 Syllabus: Part B

• Drawing: Ability to draw products, people, or scenes in proportion with good line quality, composition, proportion, perspective, and shading.
• Creativity: Ability to think out of the box and come up with unique as well as diverse solutions.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate concepts and ideas clearly with the help of text and visuals.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to understand the user and the context, knowledge of properties of materials and process and their appropriate use in design, originality of solutions, ability to create characters, plots, and stories, etc.

CEED 2025 Admit Card

CEED 2025 Admit Card will be available for download from January, 2025. Eligible candidates will have to download CEED 2025 Admit Card online. It will not be sent to any candidate via mail or post.

• Details contained on the admit card are the name of the candidate, date of birth, roll number, photograph, signature, examination date, examination time, examination venue
• With CEED 2025 Admit Card, a candidate must also carry one of these documents- Passport, Driving Licence, College Identity Card, Voter ID, Adhar Card, or PAN Card.

CEED 2025 Exam Center

IIT Bombay will decide the list of CEED 2025 Exam Centers. Candidates can choose 3 cities in order of preference at the time of filling in the application form for CEED 2025.

A city may have more than one examination center. Once the application form is submitted, a change in the examination center is not possible. No request in this matter will be entertained.

CEED 2025 Answer Key

CEED 2025 Final Answer Key is released online. It can be used to calculate the expected scores. The draft answer key was open for challenge on January, 2025. The students can download the same by following the below-mentioned steps.

CEED 2025 Result

CEED 2025 Result is out. Students can check the result online from the official website: www.CEED.iitb.ac.in. The candidates need to log in to their portal. CEED Score and Rank will be displayed on the official portal for a year. IIT Bombay will release CEED 2025 scorecard on March 5, 2025. 

How to download CEED 2025 Score Card?

2. Click on ‘Check CEED Result’
3. Login with registered Email Id and Password
4. Download it and save it for future reference.

CEED 2025 Cutoff

Part A is a qualifying exam in CEED 2025, with the qualifying cut-off to be declared in February 2025, indicated by standard deviation (11.16) and mean deviation (18.62). Candidates meeting the minimum Part A qualifying marks will have their Part B test paper assessed manually.

For those shortlisted from Part A, Part B answer books will be manually evaluated. The merit list for CEED 2025 will be based solely on Part B scores.

The CEED 2025 cutoff will be published once participating institutes announce it. Each institute has its own separate cutoff, influenced by factors like the number of applicants, available program seats, and preferred programs. The cutoff also considers minimum qualifying marks as per the institutions' requirements.
