Deshbandhu College of the DU, in its latest notification, directed all its first-year students to register on the ABC portal of the UGC. Students can register by going to the official website, abc.gov.in

New Delhi:  Deshbandhu College, a division of the University of Delhi, is inviting All the first-year students to register on the Academic Bank of Credit (ABC) website of the University Grants Commission. According to Deshbandhu College, students can register by going to the official website, abc.gov.in.

Deshbandhu College's acting principal, Kamal Kumar Gupta, has released the most recent notification on the ABC portal. UGC previously requested that all students create ABC IDs and validate their Aadhar starting with this academic year.

According to the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the ABC portal was established and maintains a virtual log of the credits each student has earned online. The programme seeks to simplify the transfer of credits for students by enabling them to move quickly between higher education institutions and streams. How to apply at the ABC portal?

Students must follow the below-mentioned step-by-step instructions to register on the ABC portal released by Deshbandhu College:

Step 1: Head to the official website of ABC Portal @abc.gov.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the ‘My Account’ tab and select the ‘Student’ option.

Step 3: New students can click on the ‘Signup’ link and sign up for DigiLocker using a valid mobile number.

Step 4: Enter the required details such as gender, date of birth, username, and pin, and verify.

Step 5: Now sign in to your account using the DigiLocker ID by entering your mobile number and pin.

Students must create an ABC ID as of the start of the current academic year and have the University Grant Commission verify their Aadhaar.
