DU Mop-Up Admissions 2025: 876 Students Invited for 1,700 BA Honours Seats, Only 73 Filled

Mop Up Round is being held at the University from September 23rd to 29th, 2025. Any seats remaining vacant after September 29 will remain unfilled for the session.

 DU UG Mop-Up Round 2025

Delhi University (DU) has started its on-the-spot mop-up round for undergraduate (UG) admissions 2025–26, but turnout on the first day remained low. Out of nearly 1,700 vacant seats in BA Honours, only 73 seats were filled on Day 1, according to official data.

On the first day, students from all reserved categories except Other Backwards Class (OBC) and Unreserved (UR) were called for BA Honours admissions. About 876 students were invited for 1,700 seats, but only 73 were taken up.

Delhi University still has a significant number of vacant seats across various categories in the mop-up round. Among them, OBC students have the highest number of unfilled seats at 2,136, followed by ST with 1,528 and UR (General) with 1,439 seats. Other categories include SC with 1,092 seats, EWS with 1,248, and PwBD with 1,263, while Sikh and Christian categories have 246 and 242 vacant seats, respectively.

DU Mop-Up Round 2025: Upcoming Admission

The physical mop-up round is set to conclude on September 29. Unlike regular admissions, the mop-up round is based on Class-12 marks rather than CUET scores. Any seats remaining vacant after September 29 will remain unfilled for the session. Here’s the upcoming admission schedule for DU UG Mop-Up Round 2025:

As per DU Advisory, Candidates have been shortlisted based on merit, eligibility, preferences, and seat availability. Those who receive multiple invitations must report on all assigned days. Admissions will be done only through the DU admission portal; candidates should avoid any agents or false claims.
