CEPT University has opened PhD admission 2026 for the July session, with applications due by March 20 and exams/interviews in April.

CEPT University, Ahmedabad has started the PhD admission process for the Monsoon/July 2026 session across architecture and allied research areas. Interested candidates can submit applications online within the announced timeline. The university will conduct shortlisting, a written exam and interviews before final selection.
Applicants must meet the required academic qualifications and category-wise marks criteria to participate in the admission process. The new academic session will officially begin in July 2026.

Candidates applying for the CEPT University PhD programmes must meet the prescribed academic qualifications. A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture is mandatory for all applicants.
The university prefers candidates with a Master’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Design, Conservation, History & Theory, or Landscape Architecture.

However, those holding a Master’s in Social Sciences, Art History, Civil Engineering or M.Tech can also apply, provided their Bachelor’s degree is in Architecture. Students who have completed a 1-year/2-semester or 2-year/4-semester Master’s programme after Architecture are also considered eligible.
In terms of marks, General category candidates must secure at least 55% aggregate, while Reserved category candidates require a minimum of 50%, and all degrees should be from a recognized university or institution.
The selection process involves multiple stages, including application screening, shortlisting, a written test and a personal interview. Applicants may also need to submit a research proposal, academic documents and a statement of purpose.
The final admission decision is made based on the candidate’s academic performance and interview evaluation.
After applying, candidates should complete their registration before March 20, 2026, begin preparation for the written exam and interviews scheduled in April, and keep all required documents ready.
Those who receive admission offers must pay the admission confirmation fee by May 15, 2026 to secure their seat. The Monsoon 2026 semester will commence from July 20, 2026.
