RSSM Organises a grand Picnic

Picnic is a short but lovely experience that engages the teachers and students into a world of fun that can never happen in classrooms. This year, the institution planned to visit the “Apno Rajasthan resort” on 15th February 2024, Jaipur. A Student needs rest and entertainment after working hard for many days. The sounds of nature make a picnic even more delightful. On reaching, everyone was welcomed by a delicious breakfast provided by the resort. Several sports activities were played such as badminton, football and cricket by all the students.

The students along with Principal Dr. B.M Sharma, teaching and non-teaching members from the department clicked a group picture treasuring this fun-filled event.

The students and the teachers were rejuvenated by tea and snacks provided just before leaving after which everyone boarded the buses for return at 4:00 pm.

RSSM Organises Mehendi Competition

The Rajasthan Swayat Shasan Mahavidyalaya organised a mehndi competition and Rakhi Making Competition on the college premises on Monday 28 August 2023 on theoccasion of Rakshabandhan. Students participated with enthusiasm. They createdbeautiful designs on different themes. The competition was held under the supervision of Dr Pooja Maheshwari, Cultural Head . Students and all the faculty members werepresent in this competition. Ms Ekta Kumawat and Ms Vinita Chauhan were the judgesin the competition. Winners will be announced in the Annual Function.

RSSM Conducts the Orientation Event for the Freshers

August 3, 2023 - Rajasthan Swayat Shashan Mahavidyalaya, Jaipur welcomed new students with the Orientation Programme "प्रारम्भ" along with introductions to the college departments and faculties. The Orientation began with the encouraging words of B. M. Sharma sir- Principal, RSSM, spoke at length about the benefits of effective communication between students and teacher. A documentary made on the college was shown to the students, along with some senior students shared their experiences. It's proved to be a sincere effort made by the college in educating the students to look after their career in proper manner.

"National Conference on Plastic-Free Earth: Green, Clean, and Healthy Environment"

On the occasion of World Environment Day, a two-day national conference titled "Plastic-Free Earth: Green, Clean, and Healthy Environment" was inaugurated with Saraswati Vandana by the Indian Human Ecology Council (Check India), Rajasthan Swayat Shasan Mahavidyalaya Jaipur, and the Forest Department.

Shri Mahesh Chand Sharma, Secretary of the Local Body, Rajasthan Government, presided over the inaugural session and shed light on the harmful effects of plastic and the government's perspective on it. Shri Pradeep Kumar Bhardwaj, Secretary of Rajasthan Swayat Shasan Mahavidyalaya Jaipur, and Former Director of College Education, Rajasthan, urged individuals to personally fulfill their responsibilities in environmental conservation through an inspirational story. Dr. Vinod Kumar Bharadwaj, the current President of the Indian Human Ecology Council (Check India) and Coordinator of the national conference, acquainted the conference with the subject matter.

He mentioned that a total of nine sessions will be conducted in this two-day national conference, in which subject experts from Maharashtra, Goa, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, and Rajasthan will participate. Following the inaugural session, a special technical session was organized, where Prof. N.N. Sawant from Goa discussed the environmental impact of tourism, Prof. Milap Sharma from JNU, Delhi highlighted the implications of climate change in India, and Prof. T.I. Khan from Rajasthan presented the past and present scenario of plastic. This session was chaired by Prof. P.C. Trivedi, Former Vice-Chancellor of JNU, Jodhpur.

In the special session - Part II, Prof. P.S. Verma from Rajasthan University, Jaipur, Shri R.P. Verma, Former Deputy Director General of the Geological Survey of India, Western Zone, Prof. K.B. Sharma, Principal of S.S. Jain Subodh (Autonomous) College, Jaipur, and Dr. Raghav Prakash, Director of Pariskar College of Global Excellence, Jaipur, delivered their lectures. Shri P.C. Bakliwal, Head of the Geological Survey of India, Western Zone, chaired this session.

A memorial was unveiled during the inaugural session of the conference, and at the end of the session, everyone took a pledge that they would not use single-use plastics in the future and would create awareness among others about it.
