Being the Principal of this institution what is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?
What I believe is that when you’re a leader, there are two things. One thing is that you must do everything on your own, and another is that you shouldn't only rely on others. Participate everywhere and see whether your purpose is to solve it or not. I have to understand my people; I have to coordinate with them; I don’t believe in bossism; it's not leadership.
How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?
I respect every faculty as a faculty. They are also professors like me. Maybe I am a principal, but that does not mean that they are very low to me. They have that capability, which I have. So, I always coordinate with them. And if I talk about students, I used to talk with every student. I talk to them in a very friendly manner. I always teach them social behavior and their responsibilities.
What are your views on the placements and higher education of the students from your department or how does your department prepare students for Higher education?
I definitely prefer higher education. But I also believe that a degree is not everything; it is a part of the journey. But the most important thing is knowledge. Without knowledge, you will not be able to do anything with your degree. But definitely, you have to be qualified, for that degree is important, but it is not everything. And we conduct placement for our BCA and BBA students, so they are getting placed every year in different companies.
Do you have any extracurricular activities/ programs to enhance the skills of the students or expose them to real-world challenges?
Every year, we conduct various sports events. We have a different team for sports. Our management encourages the students to do this. Every year, students from our college participate in different sports. We have a very good Kabaddi team. They play at the national and state levels, and they represent our college. Our management is taking care of them—their training, their diet—everything is taken care of by our management. And there are the various skill improvement programmes we are planning. We have a skill head in our college; he is looking into the skills of the students, which are very important nowadays. We have a proper plan for that. We are continuously providing them with various opportunities.

What valuable advice would you like to the students for them to have a prosperous career ahead?
I will advise that now that you are not small children, you are mature enough. So be a caring person. Be a responsible person. You are the leader for yourself now; you have to do your work on your own. You have to be independent and self-disciplined.
How did you train yourself to deliver this program to the students?
I am the kind of person who believes that I am always a student and that I have to learn. Currently, I am also learning so many things in my career to keep me updated. Presently, I am learning the Python language. Also, I completed a few courses.
What do you think should be the college’s top priority over the next 10 years?
We're actively working towards securing NAAC accreditation, a significant milestone that underscores our commitment to academic excellence. Additionally, we have aspirations to transition into autonomous universities, a move that would grant us greater academic independence and allow us to shape our educational programs more dynamically in the future. These goals represent our dedication to providing a top-tier educational experience for our students.
When you first came to this college, what was your vision for the university? Has it evolved over time, and how far along in implementing that vision are you?
I joined here as an assistant professor in the engineering department 20 years ago. That time, I had a different vision. At that time we had few engineering courses, but now we have various courses, and I am the principal of a first-grade college. So now my vision is completely different. Presently, we have 13 different institutions here.
What do you see as this college’s greatest strengths?
The greatest strength is that we are open to all kinds of students. We believe in teaching, not money. We have a very good number of faculty members; they are very efficient, and our management is also very good. We have a very good number of quality students. And all we believe in is coordination.
