The State Scholarship Portal scholarship offers financial aid to all students belonging to Karnataka. This scholarship aids deserving students from many fields who, for financial reasons, are unable to continue their studies. By availing of this scholarship, the students won’t be under any financial constraints from their families while pursuing their education. The State Scholarship Portal scholarships are available from kindergarten through higher education.
Eligibility For SSP Pre Matric Scholarship
- Students must be Karnataka residents.
- The Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) are requirements for enrollment.
- Students in grades one through ten are eligible for this grant.
- Students’ families shouldn’t make more than INR 1 lakh annually.
- Students must have passed their final qualifying test with at least a 50% grade point average.
- Candidates’ non-working parents who are unable to provide their children’s fundamental necessities, such as an education, are eligible for the scholarship.

Karnataka Labour Welfare Board (KLWB)
The Karnataka Labour Welfare Fund was established to finance and implement initiatives to promote the welfare of contributing employees covered under the Karnataka Labour Welfare Act of 1965. Employees working in various industries, along with their dependents and children, are eligible for the welfare schemes. The society has launched a scholarship for the children of workers (labourers) residing in Karnataka to provide them with quality education.
Karnataka welfare board education society invites application forms for the children of workers who want an education scholarship. Students who want to apply for the Karnataka labour educational assistance can apply by visiting the Official website of Karnataka Labour Welfare Fund. UG students are eligible to get a maximum of INR 10,000/- from this scheme.
Criteria:
- General Category students must have a minimum of 50%, and the SC/ST must have 45% merit in their previous academic year.
- The student should be a resident of Karnataka.
Scheme of ‘National Scholarship’ for students belonging to the minority communities
The Prime Minister’s New 15-Point Programme aimed at the Welfare of Minorities was announced in June 2006. It stipulates the implementation of a post-matric scholarship scheme for meritorious students from minority communities. The goal of this scheme is to grant scholarships to meritorious students from economically weaker sections of minority communities to provide them with better opportunities for higher education, improve their prospects in higher education and boost their employability.
The scholarship is intended for studies conducted in India in a government or private higher secondary school/college/university, including such residential institutes of the Government and eligible private institutes selected and notified in a transparent manner by the State Government/Union Territory Administration concerned. It will also cover technical and vocational courses at Industrial Training Institutes/ Industrial Training Centres affiliated with NCVT for classes XI and XII level, which includes Polytechnics and other courses (any course of less than one year duration is not covered under this scheme; Certificate courses are also not covered).
Eligibility:
This scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured more than 50% marks or equivalent grades in the previous final examination, and the annual income of those whose parents/guardians from all sources does not exceed INR 2 lakh.
Distribution:
Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jain and Zoroastrians (Parsis) have been notified as minority communities under Section 2 (c) of the National Commission for Minorities Act, 1992. A total of five 5 lakh scholarships are intended to be allocated as ‘Fresh’ Scholarships, in addition to Renewal scholarships. The allocation of scholarships among the States/Union Territories will be conducted based on the minority population in the States/Union Territories as per Census 2001 for 2017-18 and as per the population of minorities in the States/Union Territories of Census 2011 for 2018-19 and 2019-20 (as per Appendices- A & B).
Earmarking
- A 30% scholarship is designated for girls students from each minority community in a State/UT, which can be transferred to male students from that community if there are no female students available in that community in the respective State/UT. 30% is the minimum and not the maximum for eligible girl students.
- If the physical target of scholarship for a certain minority community in a state/UT is not achieved, it will be distributed among the same minority groups in other States/UTs based on merit and without disturbing the national ratio. Any unutilized community quota will be distributed amongst other communities based on merit and without affecting the overall national quota.
- A student living in a particular State/UT is entitled to a scholarship only under the quota of that State/UT, regardless of his/her place of study.
Sitaram Jindal Foundation Scholarship Scheme
Sitaram Jindal Foundation Scholarship Scheme 2024 is an initiative by the Sitaram Jindal Foundation (NGO) aimed at students from Class 11 to the postgraduate level. It provides financial support to underprivileged students enrolled in various degree/diploma courses. The selected candidates will receive a scholarship of up to INR 3,200 per month.
Terms and Conditions
- The minimum marks required for continuation will be reduced by 5% at the time of continuation (repeat) of scholarship in all categories.
- Only those application forms that can be downloaded free of cost from the foundation's website will be entertained.
- A student must submit an application for a scholarship only once throughout the course duration.
- Scholarships will be awarded to all Govt., Govt. Aided schools, colleges/institutes and as well as private schools, colleges/institutes where the exorbitant fee is not charged to the students.
- For 3-year or longer duration courses, applications will not be entertained from final-year students.
- The scholarship will not be given for courses of less than one year.
- The scholarship will be discontinued after the student crosses 30 years of age.

To avail of the Tata Capital Pankh Scholarship Program, students must meet the below-mentioned eligibility criteria:

- Students who are currently enrolled in undergraduate degree programs such as B.Com., B.Sc., BA, etc., or diploma/polytechnic courses at recognised institutions in India can apply
- Applicants must have scored at least 60% marks in the preceding class/semester/year.
- The annual family income of the applicants from all sources must be less than or equal to INR 2.5 lakh.
- Children of employees of Tata Capital & Buddy4Study are not eligible.

HDFC Bank Parivartan's ECSS Programme
HDFC Bank Parivartan's ECSS Programme 2024-25 is an initiative of HDFC Bank that seeks to assist meritorious and needy students belonging to underprivileged sections of society. The scholarship is meant for students from Classes 1 to 12 and those enrolled in diploma, ITI, polytechnic, UG, and PG (general and professional) programmes. Under the ECSS programme, the students facing financial hardship to bear the cost of education due to personal/family crises or any other financial problems and are at risk of discontinuing their education are provided with financial support of up to INR 75,000 for their studies.

The specific admission dates for GSSS Simha Subbamahalakshmi First Grade College in Mysore for the 2025 academic session have not been announced. The admission will start around May or June.
The first-year fee of GSSS Mysore BCA is INR 45,540. The second and third-year fees of the course are also the same INR 45,540.
