As part of the TiE Global Summit, Vivekananda Global University (VGU), Jaipur hosted an exclusive US–India Educators’ Roundtable, bringing together 34 distinguished delegates from the USA and across India to deliberate on entrepreneurial education, mentorship, and institutional best practices.

The roundtable saw participation from leading institutions and organizations including Amity University Punjab, Swami Keshvanand Institute of Technology & Management, Gramothan, Jagrati Yatra, VGU, Kanoria College Jaipur, IIS Jaipur, Houston Community College (USA), Walnut Schools, TiE Tampa, TiE Atlanta, and TiE U Global Co-Lead, among others.

All delegates were welcomed and felicitated by Prof. N.D. Mathur, President, VGU. The session was chaired by Dr. Paul Lopez, TiE Atlanta, who designed the discussion as a highly engaging team building and learning experience, ensuring meaningful networking and actionable takeaways for every participant.

Key discussions focused on entrepreneurship education, regenerative economics, and nurturing startup culture among students. A notable best practice highlighted was VGU’s credit-based Hackathon/Ideathon model, where students identify real societal problems, build startups as part of their curriculum, and are supported with mentorship and investor access—aligned with CEO VGU Er. Onkar Bagaria’s vision of creating job creators rather than job seekers.

The session was further enriched by contributions from Prof. D.V.S. Bhangavanulu, Pro-President, VGU, and Ms. Malvika Dudi Bagaria, Director, Faculty of Management, VGU. The roundtable reaffirmed TiE Global’s commitment to strengthening entrepreneurial ecosystems through education.
