Alovie Technologies Organises a Placement Drive at SITAM

Alovie Technologies conducted Placement Recruitment at Satya Institute of Technology and Management, Vizianagaram, on April 25, 2024. As a part of this Screening Test, a Group Discussion followed by an interview was held. Participants in this placement drive included eligible students from the departments of ECE, EEE, BBA, and MBA. Alovie Technologies were happy to announce that Twelve (12) students were recommended. The Drive was held under the supervision of Shri. Maganti Prasad, CEO, and Mrs. Gayatri, HR of Alovie Technologies.

Satya Institute of Technology and Management (SITAM) is proud to announce a strategic collaboration with Tata Steel, a leading global steel company, aimed at enriching the educational experience of practicing civil Engineers, faculty, and Civil Engineering students. As part of this collaboration, a delegation from Tata Steel comprising Mr. M Surya Narayana, South Zonal Head- Technology, Ms. K Ramya, Senior Area Sales Manager, AP & TG; Mr. H Harihara Puthiran, Head of Sales, South; and Mr. K Dinesh, Area Sales Manager, Mr. Manish Kumar, Manager Sales, SAMRAT IRONS, visited the college campus.
During their visit, the Tata Steel delegates explored various labs within the campus in collaboration with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, College of Engineering, Vizianagaram (JNTUGV), to conduct workshops on contemporary civil and construction materials. These workshops aim to provide students with practical insights and hands-on experience in working with cutting-edge materials used in civil engineering and construction projects.

BSNL's 3rd Research and Incubation Centre in India inaugurated at SITAM

The Bose Research & Incubation Center in collaboration with BSNL is inaugurated at SITAM. This is the 3rd incubation centre of BSNL in India. Honorable JNTUGV, Vizianagaram, Vice Chancellor, Dr. K.Venkata Subbaiah, inaugurated the incubation centre. Speaking on the occasion, he explained how important the BSNL Incubation Center is in skill development in the current society. Mr G.Adam, Principal General Manager of BSNL, stated that an MOU was already been done between SITAM and BSNL, and for better practical training of students, this centre has been set up. Speaking on the occassion , Dr. M. Satya Prasad, DGM, BSNL, Visakhapatnam, said that currently, in India 5G, TCS and CDS technologies are in use. He said that all the students should come up with innovative ideas, turn them into useful products. He congratulated SITAM for starting the BSNL’s third incubation centre in India and wished that it should become the best incubation centre in India and BSNL will provide all support. SITAM Principal Dr. D.V. Ramamurthy Garu said that to reduce unemployment, all the students should grow up as entrepreneurs, and to reduce the gap between academics and industry, the incubation facility is set up. The director of SITAM Dr. Majji Sashibhushana Rao, mentioned all efforts will be make to increase the facilities in the incubation centre. SITAM Organises a Seminar on Industrial Fire Safety Awareness

A seminar on industrial fire safety awareness was conducted at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, SITAM, in the context of the National Safety Week. Mr. Usman Khan, Principal of Laman Academy for Fire Safety Institution, was the chief guest addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of comprehensive safety training and education for workers in the industrial sector. He highlighted the significance of mechanical engineers and diploma students in the field and provided insights into post-BTech and diploma courses in fire safety. Mr. Dr.Majji Sashi Bhushan Garu Director of SATYA Institutions, spoke about the importance of gaining practical experience in fire and safety engineering to apply various safety methods effectively. SITAM Engineering College Campus Placement Drive

Meil ( Mega Engineering and infrastructure Ltd. ) conducted campus placements at SITAM Engineering College two days on 19 and 20 th February 2024. Core Engineering Branches Civil and Mechanical Engineering students participated. Screening tests, technical, and HR interviews were conducted, and a total of 30 students were selected. The selected students will be placed in various departments such as Construction, Hydrocarbon, and Electric Vehicles.
The Human Resources Department of the participating company, led by Assistant General Manager Mr. K.V. Raghu Rami Reddy, Senior Manager Mr. A. Sudhakar Reddy, Associate Manager Mr. Neelanjana Pal, and Senior Engineer Mr. K. Dorababu, coordinated the event.
Dr. Majji Sashibhushana Rao, Director of SITAM, thanked Dr. Majji Sashibhushana Rao, Secretary, and Correspondent Dr. Botcha Jhansilakshmi, who personally handed over the offer letters to the students. SITAM Signs Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) with BSNL to Establish Incubation Center and Enhance Student Training

SITAM (Satya Institute of Technology and Management) and BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) have formalized their collaboration by signing two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at establishing an incubation center and providing specialized training to students in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
Dr. D. V. Rama Murthy, Principal of SITAM, and Dr. Malla Satya Prasad, Deputy General Manager of BSNL Visakhapatnam, officiated the signing ceremony. Dr. Majji Sashibhushana Rao, Director of SITAM, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting the opportunities it presents for students to engage in cutting-edge research in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and IoT technologies across various disciplines including ECE, CSE, Artificial Intelligence, and EEE.
Dr. DV Ramamurthy, SITAM Principal, emphasized the significance of the collaboration in providing students with practical training on LTE, 4G, and 5G technologies through BSNL's training facilities. Following the signing ceremony, Dr. Malla Satya Prasad delivered a lecture on the latest advancements in telecom technology within the domain of Electronics and Communication Engineering.

SITAM Organises a Two-Day Workshop on Solar PV systems

The workshop on the design of solar PV systems in SITAM started at the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The two-day workshop is anchored by Mr. B. Purushottam, Manager, Green Energy Technologies, Hyderabad, as the chief resource person. Students gained practical knowledge in various aspects such as renewable energy utilization, power and energy calculations, load analysis, component selection, battery safety, and voltage commissioning processes related to mounting PV arrays. Mr. Purushottam emphasized the importance of harnessing electrical power through solar and wind energy during his speech. The chief resource person highlighted the increasing significance of natural fuels and encouraged students to explore alternative methods for electricity generation. The director of the SITAM educational institution, Dr. Majji Sashibhushana Rao, expressed the need for solar energy education and panel design for future generations. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Satya Institute of Technology and Management and Taramandal Technologies Private Limited. SITAM Principal Dr D.V Rama Murthy and Taramandal Technologies Private Limited Co-founder Mr A. Vineel Judson signed the MoU. The main purpose of this MoU is to establish the terms and conditions under which both parties will associate, collaborate, and work towards the Design, analysis, simulations, validations, and development of components related to sub-systems of satellites and orbital vehicles, other products, sub-assemblies, etc. in similar categories and marketing the above services in India and nearby countries or any other region further agreed mutually.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr Sashibhushana Rao, Director of SITAM, said that it will help the students and faculty of SITAM design and develop the CubeSats. Principal Dr D.V. Rama Murthy said that this MOU enables 1,500 students and faculty members to enhance their skill development and self-reliance in emerging technologies. Dr T.D.V.A Naidu, Vice Principal (Admin), Dr Y. Narendra, Dean (R&D), SITAM, and Prof. P Malikarjuna Rao, Head of the Department, EEE, Andhra University also participated in this MoU exchange.

Multinational company APSOLUT founders visit SITAM - 13th January

Kalpalatha Madasu and Paparao Madasu, founders of APSOLUT visited SITAM campus to discuss possibilities of synergistic ventures that could benefit students of SITAM and APSOLUT. APSOLUT is a multinational company having its global presence in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Spain, UK, India, UAE and China. It offers SAP e-procurement IT consulting services to large and medium-scale companies. Dr Majji Sashibhushana Rao, Director of SITAM, D. Avinash Babu, Training and Placement officer, and Dr D. V. Ramamurthy, Principal of SITAM, NCC officer Captain Satyaveni and student representative Ms. R. Sruthi, participated in the discussion on ways to enrich the student life and learning experiences of SITAM students. Paparao opined that students need to change their mindset and bring in a sense of discipline and professionalism to equip them with job-ready skills. Kalpalatha further added that there is no dearth of opportunities and what students see as unemployment is merely a technical skill mismatch between industry expectation and student capability. Dr Majji Sashibhushana Rao readily welcomed the suggestions and assured that SITAM will walk the extra miles to make students face life's challenges. It may be noted that SITAM already entered into an MoU with APSOLUT to further the cause of student skill augmentation. MoU between ROSYS and SITAM

"SITAM entered into the realm of futuristic Drone Research," said S. K. Venkata Satish, Director of ROSYS Virtual Solutions Pvt Ltd. while signing an MoU with SITAM, Vizianagaram. Satish added that SITAM has the right kind of ambiance, infrastructure, and human resources required for initiating applications-oriented research involving the usage of Drones in agriculture, forestry, and emergency medical applications. "We are delighted to enter into an MoU with ROSYS and initiate an Innovative Center for Drone Technologies (ICDT) in the SITAM campus," said Majji Sashibhushana Rao, Director of SITAM. Sashibhushana Rao further added that ICDT will provide internship opportunities to students of SITAM by offering live drone projects. With this MoU, the ICDT in SITAM will evolve as a center accredited by the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MCA) for imparting world-class training of Drone Pilots. It may be noted that the ICDT will be the one and only pilot training/Research Center recognized by MCA in this part of Andhra Pradesh. In the ceremony involving the exchange of MoU between SITAM and ROSYS, the officials of ROSYS, Majji Sashibhushana Rao, the Principal Dr. D. V. Ramamurthy, Vice-Principals, Dr.TDVA Naidu, Ch. V. A week-long workshop on "Unity," the gaming tool, is being conducted at SITAM, in association with APSSDC. on January 2, 2024, in Vijayanagaram

The workshop aims to enhance gaming skills among engineering students at SITAM. It is organized from the 2nd to the 8th of this month. The primary objective is to foster gaming development among students. The program is facilitated by M. Sathish, a trainer associated with APSSDC, focusing on providing opportunities in gaming and software development.
Dr. Majji Shashibhushan Rao, the Director of the institute, emphasized the importance of the workshop in promoting gaming and software development. He stressed that the present Digital gaming market is going to increase from US $ 3.1 billion to US $ 7.5 billion by 2028 and players like Reliance Industries have also entered into this market, thus providing huge job opportunities. He encouraged students to actively participate for successful outcomes and highlighted the opportunities available in these fields.

The SITAM Book Readers' Club (BREC) Hosts the 2nd Book Review Meeting

Dr. Ravi Shankar Saripalle, Director of the Centre for Innovation and Incubation at GVP, VSP, emphasized during the session that students embarking on their engineering education should contemplate initiating their own startup companies right from their first year.
He illustrated this point with examples of GVP students who commenced their own startup ventures and achieved success in their professional lives.
Furthermore, he underscored the significance of the 'Future of Work for Engineers,' emphasizing the pivotal role that AI is set to play in the near future. He highlighted that 56 percent of coding is already being generated by computers rather than humans.

SITAM Organises Internal Smart India Hackathon 2023

The Smart India Hackathon ( SIH) is an annual nationwide competition in India that focuses on finding innovative solutions to real-world problems faced by various industries and government departments. It is organized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and other government agencies, in collaboration with educational institutions and various stakeholders.
In Smart India Hackathon , 250 problem statements in Hardware and Software versions , given by different ministries Government of India.
This internal Smart India hackathon is held at SITAM in association with Institutional Innovation Council ( IIC ). A total of 30 teams from several engineering departments participated in this event.
Mr.M.Ramarao, Technology Expert and Matthi Nageswara Rao, startup expert provide the guidance to students in preparing for the Hackathon. Dr. Y. Narendra , Dean R& D, Principal Dr. Ramamurthy , SITAM faculty extended their support to the students by guiding them in understanding and selecting the problems and in presenting solutions. Dr. Majji Sashibhushana Rao, Director SITAM, announced cash prizes to top Five teams as adjudged by external jury and advised students to be patient and practice perfectly for the presentation before the jury. The selected teams will be nominated by the Jury for the national level competition scheduled in December 2023. The management and students felicitated Mr. M. A guest lecture was conducted in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering on "Future Trends" at SITAM Engineering College, Gajularega. Dr. Sudhir Dixit, Co-Founder, COO, Basic Internet Foundation,United States of America (USA), was the chief guest for this guest lecture. He said that technology has become a very important aspect of our lives in these days and in the current era, "future trends" are happening, from education to medicine and agriculture. He said that girls are performing equally, unlike before, now the difference between girls and boys has reduced greatly and thus our country will develop. He asked the students to understand the current technology and move forward towards research, and for that, new innovations should come before many more. In the current situation, technical education is not just about employment. It has been informed that awareness should be raised about innovations and research.
It is stated that self-confidence will increase by doing real-time projects in interesting fields along with technical education and knowledge about the subject can be developed. He said that innovative technology is important in today's technology world so that one can reach a high position and it can be achieved from the life of a student. In the present world, communication is a good platform in life and for that electronics is the basic and important. As a part of the Induction programme a session on "Change your beliefs -Change the World" is conducted at SITAM for all the first-year students by Dr. M. Sashibhushana Rao, Director of SITAM.
He began his session with some fun-filled activities that made them understand the concept. He did a practical Experiment with camphor fire and He asked some students to do the challenging task. Two students came forward and did the same. Breaking the pencil with the index finger is another challenge attracted many students. Some students came forward and broke the pencil. He conducted these experiments to say to all students that they have infinite potential within themselves and he suggested that they should utilise the resources provided in this college to achieve their desired goals. He concluded that he is ready to provide all the necessities to students. Students of First year from all branches and first-year faculty attended.

An interactive session was organized as a part of SITAM Institute Innovation Council (IIC) in the college called "Initiating Startup and Building Its Value" at SITAM Engineering College on 30th August, 2023, Vizianagaram.
Mr. Nallamalli Venkata Reddy, the founder and CEO of Vihan Electric and Tech Team Solutions, a prominent Ankura industry, was the chief guest for this program. He explained the main purpose of the startup system, its importance and profit and loss. He created awareness among the students how to overcome and face the obstacles in technical and business operations that exist between them. Also, he expressed the opinion that they should understand and make new innovations to solve the problems in the society. On 23 Aug, 2023 , Wednesday "Chandrayan-3 final few hours of success and horizons ahead" celebrations held at SITAM. Dr.B.Nalini, HOD of ECE, JNTU- GV has arrived as chief guest of the event.
India readied for its latest attempted moon landing, a historic moment for the world populous nation. Prayers are resonating around the globe as well as depicted at SITAM. On this occasion students from the third year have collaborated with 8 different teams with the selective themes and given their presentations on the topic of the day.
Dr.B.Nalini, key note speaker addressed the students and gave her valuable insights about the launching of Chandrayan-3 and appreciated the student participants for the innovative thoughts and their efforts.

A Pool Campus Placement drive at SITAM College

Job Mela was held at SITAM Engineering College on 18 August in the campus successfully. Many reputed companies like SYNERGIES Casting, APOLLO Retail Organisation and WNS Global Services participated in conducting campus selections.In this process B.Tech and Diploma students were selected for SYNERGIES Casting, APOLLO Retail Organisation selected BSc (BiZC,BiPC) students for medical coding and Deccan Chemicals has selected BSc(chemistry) students. In this selection process nearly 250 students got selected in campus drive. Premiere Recruitment Events by WNS and Tech Tammina at SITAM Engineering College

Renowned companies WNS and Tech Tammina conducted premiere recruitment events at SITAM Engineering College in Vizianagaram. The event was attended by students of all degree colleges in the Vizianagaram district, with approximately 200 participants in attendance.
WNS carried out interviews to select eligible students, while Tech Tammina conducted an exam and interviewed all those who passed before selecting its participants. Out of the attendees, WNS selected 30 students and Tech Tammina selected 40 students.

The event will be presided over by Sri A Prasad Rao, Deputy director, SDSC SHAR, ISRO and Dr. T V Ramana Reddy, Chief General Manager, SDSC SHAR.
Honorable Vice Chancellor of Central Tribal University of Andhra Pradesh, Prof T V Kattimani garu, Honorable Vice Chancellor of JNTUK & JNTU_GV, Prof. Prasad Reddy garu will grace the events.
The celebration will also include Space Walk on October 6th, a walkathon by school and college students through the main Routes of Vizianagaram Fort, Three Lamps Junction, MG Road, Clock Tower and end at Sri Gurajada Statue, to create awareness about Space Science and Indian Space programmes. The Spacewalk will be flagged off by Smt. M. Deepika, IPS, District Superindent of Police, Vizianagaram.
“SDSC SHAR, Sriharikota, has been celebrating World Space Week with an object to create awareness of Indian Space programmes to scientific, academic and common public. We are extremely happy to be partnering with the Satya Institute of Technology And Management ( SITAM) this year,” told G Appanna Chairman, World Space Week 2022 - Vizianagaram.
Students from over 150 educational institutions in and around the Vizianagaram District will be participating in the three-day event which will showcase the outstanding work done by ISRO through their exhibits. A preliminary Space talent test was conducted through District education authorities to about 4000 students and about 400 students are sortlisted to participate quiz, extempore , drawing competitions at SITAM.
The exhibition will be open to the general public from 6th to 8th October for three days. “The event is a tremendous opportunity for the students of all school and college Students of Vizianagaram District” said Dr. Majji Sashibhushana Rao, Director, SITAM.
SITAM Vizianagaram receives Institute of Innovation Council certification

MHRD’s Innovation Cell (MIC) has been established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India to systematically inculcate the culture of innovation amongst every Higher Education Institutions. It focuses on encouraging, inspiring, and nurturing the students by supporting their innovative ideas. MIC has created the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC’s) across all the selected Higher Education Institutions.
Recently, SITAM became part of MIC by establishing the Institute of Innovation Council (IIC). It is the first college in the whole Vizianagaram district to get IIC recognition. Satya Institute of Technology and Management is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and is affiliated with JNTUK, Kakinada. It is accredited by NAAC with a grade of “B+”. With the establishment of IIC at SITAM, Youngsters got several Opportunities to develop their new ideas. Several Start-Ups developments would also take place at SITAM. IIC would promote aspiring entrepreneurs and open new paths for the development of innovative ideas. The Union Ministry of Education works with the Innovation Council (IICs) to promote creative energy in the youth.
For handing out the IIC Establishment Certificate to College Director Dr. M Sashibhushana Rao, Dr. Bijay Kumar Sahu IIC, AICTE Member, regional manager of NRDC, personally visited the SITAM college. SITAM College Dean of R&D Dr. Y Narendra Kumar, Vice-principal CH V Lakshmi, TPO B K Rao, L. Satyavathi also participated in the program. It is a great step of SITAM to establish the IIC as it would encourage Innovation, Idea Development, and Prototyping at a National level.
