Dr. Abdul Mateen Ahmed graduated from IIT Hyderabad in Wireless Networks, working as an Associate Professor in ECE and HoD, having 18 years of experience in Industries and Academics in India and Saudi Arabia. 14 research papers and 3 books published in international publications and 7 patents filed. Current responsibilities: Convener MSME and IIC coordinator and SIH Mentor, handling two Major projects Water treatment plant using a new technology Artificial Thunderbolt in Collaboration with IITH and KSA and Hydraulic Umbrella in collaboration with DRDO. What is the latest program that you are offering in your institute/department that will help students outperform and stand apart from the crowd?
Skill Development Program on Unmanned Vehicle with Collaboration with IITH TiHAN group. Our college is also offering innovation and entrepreneurship programs to help students learn how to start and manage their businesses. These programs provide students with the resources and guidance they need to turn their ideas into successful startups.
What are the factors that make this program the best for the students to opt for?
‘Skill Development’ is a lifelong process that involves acquiring and enhancing the abilities, knowledge, and competencies necessary to perform various tasks effectively, and also the student will get Certification by TiHAN IITH.
What will you say the “best practices” in the course you’re offering?
Drones and UAV and UAG for industry. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have become increasingly popular in various industries due to their versatility and ability to perform tasks efficiently. Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) or Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) encompass not only the drone itself but also the ground control station and communication system. Unmanned Aircraft Groups (UAGs) are organizations or entities that operate drones.
What are some valuable insights into the program that you are offering at your institute/department?
As the students are equipped with the latest technologies and learning the students will have more scope of having good job opportunities. The student will be industry-ready which help him to get a job opportunity easily.

How did you train yourself/faculty to deliver this program to the students?
We use various online materials that help the faculty to learn and upgrade themselves with the latest technologies. Also, we collaborate with Kishore CEO of Maruti Central drones.
How do you tend to build an industry connection with this program?
We always focus on experiential learning as a part of that we conduct various activities on campus that enable the student to apply the theoretical part to the practical and also we have a mou with TiHAN IITH connect.
What were the challenges that you faced while inculcating this program into your curriculum?
The most challenging task was generalized curriculum typically refers to an educational plan or program that is designed to provide a broad and balanced set of knowledge and skills rather than focusing on specific specialized areas. The aim is to offer a well-rounded education that prepares individuals for a variety of challenges in the real world.
What are the types of projects that the students are working on through this program?
