Avishkar Gupta has been working as the Admissions, Branding and Counseling Head at IISE Group of Institutions, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He has an amazing 22 years of work experience in the education sector and 16 years in the corporate world. His key experience areas are Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Insurance and Risk Management and Quantitative Techniques.
He has done Graduation in Electronics and Telecommunication and Post-graduation in Management with specialization in IT. Avishkar Gupta has worked with leading IT companies like Zenith Computers, Hewlett Packard (1) Pvt Ltd, HCL Info Systems, Toshiba Computers Ltd, and Acer India Pvt. Ltd. He has been associated with IISE since 2017 and along with admission related responsibilities, he also handles teaching.
As an Educator, what are your key responsibilities towards IISE institute and its students?
Being an Educator and Admission Head of the IISE, I am mainly responsible for creating a conducive learning environment, delivering quality education to young and ambitious minds, supporting their intellectual, social, and emotional development and designing effective curriculum with the support and guidance of everyone. And while teaching students, we also have to keep track of their growth and development, offer them feedback or personalized instructions and make sure they have a safe and inclusive classroom environment to understand, learn and innovate.
Apart from this, we need to regularly collaborate with fellow colleagues, participate in professional development programs in order to align our teaching methodologies with the institution goals and values and diverse academic needs of students. Last but not the least, we act as a Mentor, guiding students in their personal and academic journeys, instilling in them the values of integrity, respect, and lifelong learning and empower them with knowledge, skills, and character to thrive in their education and beyond.
How does your college enhance faculty skills to help them effectively deliver courses to students?
For the purpose of upskilling teachers and their pedagogical skills in accordance with changing industrial demands and research advancements, IISE regularly organizes workshops and seminars in collaboration with industry experts. And since we know that use of latest technology in the education sector has increased manifold, during these events, our teachers are trained on effective use of learning management systems, multimedia resources, online collaboration tools, and other technology-enhanced teaching methods to create an engaging and effective learning environment for the students.
How is your institution more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?
Our college is committed to create a truly inclusive and welcoming environment for students of different races and economic backgrounds. And we also understand that diversity of students is very important for an educational institution, it's growth and reputation, hence we provide equal opportunities to every student so that they can thrive academically and personally.
What approaches do you bring in apart from curriculum to teach students?
We truly believe in the fact that education extends beyond the classroom and along with finest quality education, students need a suitable environment to showcase their skills and unique talents and also learn new things. Hence our college conducts an exciting array of extracurricular activities including sports events, technical and non-technical competitions, cultural fests, visual arts, music, debate, public speaking sessions on a regular basis to provide valuable windows to students for their personal as well as professional development and improve their communication and critical thinking skills. And it doesn't matter whether you are passionate about mathematics, science, business, literature, or history, you can engage in stimulating discussions, competitions, and workshops.

What career options would be available to students after pursuing courses from IISE?
Students will be having a plethora of work opportunities after successfully pursuing courses from our college and if we talk about the BBA program specifically, they can join domains like Administration, Banking, Finance, Marketing and Sales. Apart from this, after pursuing BCA course, our students can pursue either MBA or can work as a Data Scientist, Digital Marketer, Cyber Security Expert or can even learn Product Management or enter the Block Chain Industry. I would like to advise my dear students and youths of our society to embrace a growth mindset, set clear goals, and manage their time effectively. Also, stay curious, seek mentorship, and develop strong communication skills. And don't take failures as life, indeed they are part of life and teaches you how to grow further and enhance your skills. Apart from this, build a supportive professional network that can help you grow, prioritize your well-being, and stay updated and adaptable in our rapidly changing world. Remember, success is a journey, so enjoy the process, seize opportunities, and never stop learning.
